Edit: New app version has a customizable EQ!
I really love the unique aesthetic on these headphones. I wanted to get something elegant and unique for the gym and travel. I have other products from Moondrop that I’m very happy with (Dawn Pro, CHU II, Space Travel). So I figured I’d take a chance on the Edge. The fit/finish look/feel premium and they are infinitely comfortable. The Bluetooth 5.4 connection is extremely fast and stable with no audible noise. My biggest complaint with the Edge is how empty the bass response is. I am no audiophile and I know that I prefer a slight “V”-shaped sound signature. That being said, there is a “basshead” EQ preset in the app and even with this EQ preset selected, the bass is still quite anemic. I would REALLY appreciate if Moondrop would fix this with a firmware update. They could add the option for a customizable, 10-band EQ or just boost the bass levels in their cooked in EQ. If they can get the bass to be comparable to the Space Travel or the CHU II with a firmware update, I’ll gladly come back and rate the Edge 5 stars. Until then, I really can’t recommend these. Edit: Moondrop released a firmware update that seems to have improved the bass response a bit. With the “basshead” EQ preset selected, the sound profile seems relatively flat to me (which is a good thing!). I still think the basshead EQ should have a more pronounced bass response though. The “basshead” EQ tuning should be the “balanced” preset in my opinion. That being said, I’m really enjoying these headphones a lot more now! Edit: Moondrop released a new version of their app and added a customizable EQ! I have to update my review and give credit where it’s due. The customizable EQ truly brings these headphones into 5 star territory now. I like that they give you a target response curve and then give you a predicted response with your EQ filters applied. This is very common in professional audio development and it’s great to see in a consumer product like this. I built an EQ based on the Harman Target response and I added a low shelf filter to improve the bass response. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the sound quality now. These are perfect now for the gym or the coffee shop. I really enjoy these headphones now. Thanks Moondrop!

Great sound, some minor nitpicks and QC issues, but still worth it
Sound quality is great, noise cancellation is great, battery good the one major gripe is that there is an anime girl assistant that can be annoying sometimes like “power on!” Or “device connected!” And once the battery gets low to around 30% It will keep saying “battery low” every minute until it’s dead. Not to much of a problem considering It can last many days even though I listen to music daily. For me the weight is at a perfect level along with the clamp force and the ear cups. The QC may be questionable though, as the first one I got had a loose screw thing shaking in the cup. That wasn’t a problem though with my second one. The build quality feels good enough for the price, but worth it for the money considering the sound. You have a few eq profiles to choose from on the moondrop app and the general balance of the tuning has quite an emphasis on the upper mids which may be a good or bad thing depending upon your preference. Me personally I chose the bass preset, because as with lots of people I like some extra bass. This may also make the balance with the upper mids better so they don’t overshadow the other parts of the range Overall despite some minor gripes and nitpicks the Moondrop Edge still gives you great value for the money considering the sound quality it has for offer.

These are the BEST headphones for its price!!!
I LOVE THESE HEADPHONES They are super comfortable and the sound quality is nice. It easily gets to sounding like the best ever with the in app eq customization. They are good looking headphones and the box itself is a work of art (I put it up on a shelf showing off the nice box art) It was easy to connect to my Samsung phone with Bluetooth and offers the ability to have multi point with another device so that's nice. Everything I've played through it has sounded awesome from apple music and YouTube to just listening to sleep sounds. It comes with a nice leather like bag to hold the headphones and all the controls are on the side of the headphones although they are like on the back side, it gets a little getting used to. OVERALL 10/10

Worth the money
These feel really luxurious and we'll built. I did end up glueing on small crystals to each button bc they are really flat and hard to feel when wearing but I think it just made them cuter and more personal. The sound quality is good but as others say they arent the best noise cancelling. I use them daily with my phone and also TV. Easy to connect to both as well. The aren't super heavy omwhen wearing but also aren't so light weight that they feel fragile.

Not PC friendly
The comfort and fit of the Moondrop Edge headphones is truly appreciated. Sound quality is better than most budget units but could be better for the price range. The biggest issue is the operation of the headphones. The power button is very difficult to use. The power button is located directly in the middle of the VOL- and VOL+. There is no spacing and only a slight difference in height that is difficult to feel with your fingers much less your thumb. Where the controls are located requires you to use your right hand thumb for control selection while wearing the unit. The power on and off features are concerning. The headphones will not turn off by the power button if they are still in use by a program via bluetooth to a PC. The programs must be closed before the Moondrop unit will power down by pressing the power button and holding. If the headphones are still seen by a program they will not turn off no matter how long you press the power button. The unplanned time extensions for troubleshooting the issue when stepping away from the computer are frustrating. I should not have to accommodate extra time to troubleshoot headphones when stepping away from the PC. When you do get the unit to power on or off, the sound indicator is hard to understand. It is not a simple tone, but a cartoon anime voice that is extremely difficult to understand. The difference between the "Power On" and the "Power Off" animated voice is very hard to separate because they are both a very similar, fast and high pitched cartoon anime voice with a very similar audio pattern. I should not have to install a mobile phone app to control the head phones on my PC. I wanted to use them on a PC as they were described as PC compatible. This turning on and off issue alone has made these headphones a dust collector in my drawer.

Affordable, comfortable
Really good sound quality for the price. At work I want someone to know I have headphones in, but I also want to make sure I’m not completely blocking out everyone incase someone is trying to get my attention. So these sit in that perfect range for me. I would say give them a try if you are on the fence about it. It’s a good bang for your buck. The green color is also really growing on me. It is a much more saturated green color. I thought it would be more muted, but it stands out. Not a bad thing! I am happy it is not boring black or gross grey!

Nice sound and very comfortable.
I have very mixed experience with headphones, often they don't last long, hurt to wear, and are fairly flimsy. These are a fantastic fit, very comfy, and i wore them for half a day with no issues. Battery life is excellent. They paired with no problems to more than one device. The sound is not bad-- I will say i have other headphones that sound more distinct, these are a bit noisy. However, for the price point, I am pleased. Noise cancelation helps a lot.

MOONDROP Edge Wireless ANC Headphones (Grey) - Impressive Sound and Value
I’ve been using the MOONDROP Edge Full-Scene Immersive Series Hi-Fi Portable Wireless ANC Headphones (Grey) for about 10 days, and I’m thoroughly impressed by their performance, especially at the $79.99 price point. As someone who owns several headphones (including Sony WH-1000XM4 and Bose QC35), I was curious how these would stack up. Here’s my detailed take on their sound quality, noise cancellation, comfort, battery life, and features. Sound Quality The MOONDROP Edge delivers outstanding audio for the price. Powered by a 40mm low-distortion dynamic driver with a beryllium-plated dome, these headphones produce clear bass, smooth treble, and detailed mids. I tested them with a range of music—jazz (Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue), EDM (The Chainsmokers), and classical (Vivaldi’s Four Seasons)—and the soundstage feels surprisingly wide for closed-back headphones. The support for LDAC, a high-resolution Bluetooth codec, enhances the experience on my Android phone, delivering crisp details and a dynamic range that rivals pricier models. The MOONDROP app offers five tuning presets, and I found the “Studio” preset to be the most balanced, though the “Classic” preset added a fun warmth for casual listening. My only nitpick is that the bass can feel slightly less punchy than premium competitors, but it’s still well-controlled and satisfying. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) The hybrid ANC, using four high-sensitivity microphones (two per side), is a standout feature. It effectively reduces low-frequency noises like train rumbles or office AC hums. During a recent commute, I could focus on my podcast with minimal intrusion from subway noise. The transparent transmission mode, activated with a quick press of the ANC button, works seamlessly for conversations without removing the headphones—perfect for quick chats at a café. However, the ANC struggles slightly with high-pitched sounds, like a child’s scream, which is typical for headphones in this price range. It’s not Bose-level ANC, but it’s remarkably effective for under $100. Comfort and Design At just 0.82 kilograms (1.8 pounds), the MOONDROP Edge is lightweight and comfortable for extended wear. I wore them for a 4-hour work session without any ear fatigue, thanks to the soft ear pads and adjustable aluminum alloy headband. The foldable hinge design makes them easy to store in the included carrying bag, which is a nice touch for travel. The grey finish looks sleek and modern, though the plastic materials feel less premium than high-end models. One minor issue: the ear pads don’t seem easily replaceable, which could be a concern for long-term use, as some users on forums have noted. Battery Life The claimed 48-hour battery life is no exaggeration. With mixed use (music at 60% volume, ANC on, and occasional calls), I got close to 45 hours before needing a recharge. The fast-charging feature is a game-changer—5 minutes of charging via USB-C gave me about 4 hours of playback, perfect for when I’m in a rush. This is one of the best battery performances I’ve seen in wireless headphones, period. Features and Connectivity The Bluetooth 5.4 connection is stable, with a range exceeding 10 meters in open spaces, and I experienced no dropouts while moving around my apartment. The dual-device connectivity is a huge plus, letting me switch between my phone and laptop effortlessly during Zoom calls. The touch controls are intuitive (tap to pause, swipe for volume), and the beamforming ENC microphones ensure clear calls, even in moderately noisy environments like a busy street. The MOONDROP app is simple but effective for tweaking settings, though I’d love a custom EQ option in future updates. One downside: there’s no 3.5mm jack for wired listening, which might disappoint some users. Minor Drawbacks While the MOONDROP Edge punches above its weight, it’s not flawless. The lack of a 3.5mm jack limits wired use, which could be an issue for audiophiles or during battery drain. The ear pads’ non-replaceable design raises durability concerns, as mentioned in some Head-Fi discussions. Additionally, the upper mids can feel slightly strained at high volumes, as noted by a user on X, though this wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. Final Thoughts The MOONDROP Edge offers incredible value for a $79.99 ANC headphone. It combines high-resolution audio, effective noise cancellation, and a lightweight, foldable design with an unbeatable battery life. While it doesn’t match the ANC or build quality of $300+ headphones, it’s a fantastic option for budget-conscious audiophiles, commuters, or anyone seeking quality wireless audio. I’d recommend these to anyone looking for versatile, high-performing headphones without breaking the bank.

Electrical noise in the right earcup at low volume
I liked these but the right earcup has a loud electrical noise when connected to Bluetooth, the ANC works well enough but in quieter rooms it sounds a bit like there's a blowdryer in your ears, the anime girl voice is way to loud like ears hurting in quiet spaces, I didn't have issues with it being too quiet like others have mentioned, and finally the stock sound profile isn't very good but some of the community DSP fixes that issue for me.

Just some unusuals🚨 (Overall pretty good for the price)
I just don’t give it 5 stars because of one specific characteristic: when using ANC, the lows get significantly boosted, and by significantly I mean louder than using the bass boost preset on the Moondrop app with ANC off. Not only that, but I’d say it’s not just the lows, the highs also seem boosted, almost as if ANC applies a V-shaped EQ preset. Overall volume also increases with ANC. Other than that, I think they’re pretty solid for the price. The drivers don’t distort or struggle even with busy tracks. They’re comfortable, look good, and come with a classy black leather carrying bag. (PS: the usual voicelines like “power on” are voiced by an anime girl. Not everyone will like it, I personally find it cringy but also funny, so I don’t mind, but others might find it weird. Just a heads-up.) Forgot to take more photos but yea, in case you want to know how the box looks, now you know.
