Decent drapes
Took a chance and bought a bolt to make drapes in the living room. The video was taken immediately after washing and drying and putting pleat pins on so it’s a little wrinkled but that should correct itself after being hung long. I’m a beginner sewer and it was easy to make the hems for this sample panel cause the fabric was stiff before I washed it. It washed well in hot water and is now softer. The stripes also made it easy for me to align the seams when sewing. Expect the threads of the material to unravel if you haven’t hemmed yet (I have yet to adjust the length.) This is good material for what I needed. With a lining it will be less see through. Weight of the material is light if you’re looking for a thicker drape but that should work for what I need since I’m still putting an insulated lining. I’ve seen other reviews here that this fabric was used for wrapping etc. I will use some of my leftover fabric to make cloth boxes for storage - will likely keep that unwashed for the purpose so it can keep its shape. Functionality is great with this material. Good value for money esp on sale.

It really does the job!
This blackout fabric really does a great job of blacking out the light. I would buy again if I need to make another curtain.

Good heavy fabric.
Good quality. Good coverage to keep out light and heat. Would probably work great to keep out cold in frigid climates. I had to use a slightly larger sewing machine needle. Works great.

Blocks sunlight.
Great fabric. Worked perfect as lining on thin fabric to block out sunlight.

NOT BLACKOUT LINER AT ALL!
I ordered YARDS of what is supposed to be blackout drapery lining. And it’s definitely not even kind of blackout. It’s as sheer as the curtains I’m trying to black out.

Zero Light Gets Through
I tested this fabric when I first got it by holding it directly over a flashlight. Not a bit of light got through. I'm using this to line curtains for my bedroom, but I'm purchasing more to make a blind to hang behind my reed blinds. I love the look, but I don't love all the heat and sunlight.

Five star product, BUT!
First 3 yards have a slice(I can only assume from a utility knife), approx 8" in from the selvage. The slice/cut is also on the inner plastic "protection" sleeve; but was not on the outer shipping sleeve...leading me to believe it happened before it was shipped. 🤨.
