I’m about the same size (5’5, 155). The a1 is too small on my hips and the a2 top is too big up. I might try this brand and another. Neither fit me right even after washing. I need the a1 top and a2 bottom.

I'd go with an a2. If it's slightly big, you can wash it and dry it a couple times and it'll shrink a little. If you get an a1 and it's too small, there's no way to grow extra material.

Bought the recommended size according to the provided size chart. The gi was too small. The overall quality of material is good just need to adjust their size chart.

Sizing was accurate, there’s room for it to shrink in the dryer, which is great, nice material, not too heavy or stiff, came with a white belt that can actually be tied, not overly puffy or stiff either. I got an A1 and I’m 5’3”, 122lbs.
