It's a perfectly good camera BUT....
Can't fault the camera, perfect for me, took it to Portsmouth Harbour and came back with fine set of prints.HOWEVER...I can't find a spare battery anywhere. Praktica don't list one. It's supposed to take a NP120 but due to Praktica design the listed batteries on Amazon, for example, don't fit because the end that slides into the camera has to have a notch on each corner and everyone I have found here and elsewhere don't have them, so they don't go in far enough.Otherwise with it's decent case I have found it a good buy, shame about the future problem when the battery gives up.UPDATE, May 2019I have just found that the proper Praktica battery has become available on Amazon so have been able to order one today. As a consequence I have increased my rating to 5 stars. It's a pity Amazon couldn't find room, in their daily attempts to persuade me to part with more cash, to let me know it was available.

Good value for money
I used take lot's of photos with my old SLR in the old 35mm format. Nowadays I can't afford the price of the new DSLR's but I still wanted to take photos of varying subjects. As my old camera was a Praktica I decided to try the Praktica Luxmedia Z35. I wasn't disappointed, it is easy to use and there are lot's of features on it to help you take great photos. It has a long lens so I can get shots of objects that are far away, my first camera only had 8X zoom. I would prefer a viewfinder to the screen for composing shots but not many of the cheaper Bridge camera seem to have them these days. If you want to get into photography but find the DSLR's a bit expensive that you can't go wrong with this model.

Praktica Luxmedia Z35 Bridge Camera
THought I'd better buy a big persons camera now i am an adult, so I went for this one the z35, pretty good zoom, easy to use, that's always a bonus, pics are crisp, really good a lot better than a phone. I went for the anti shake as a top 3 as I have parkinson's so can tremor from time to time, works a treat, still learning how to use all the functions but will find my way as I go I suppose - down side for me was the size of bag, well it was free, I ended up buying a much larger bag so I could fill it properly with camera and other personal stuff, saved me carrying my man bag as well, i have give the camera the five stars but I would say 8/10 coz the size of the free bag
