Greatly improved the grip on the tiny camera. Well made and fit and finish are excellent.

I'll start off by saying this little handgrip/bracket combo would have received 5 stars if it were an "L" bracket allowing me to easily switch from "landscape" to "portrait" while in the field. It is very well made and fits perfectly to the camera body.The handgrip is small but comfortable and allows for a great way to securely handhold the camera. The Arca quick release tripod plate is well fashioned and is quite secure when attached to the tripod. All the openings in the device allow generally easy access to key areas of the camera. A minor bone of contention is access to the SD card. Folks with fatter fingers than mine may have some trouble removing the card without a bit of frustration.The item is precision machined so my quibble about the price may be a bit unfair. I do think the price may be enough to put a lot of people off about purchasing this bracket. I do believe the price if probably fair for anyone considering the purchase of a handgrip as well as an Arca quick release plate. I'm very pleased with the added stability when using the camera handheld.

If you’re in need of a hand grip for your Leica D lux 8, look no further, this hand grip is specifically made for your camera. It’s a solid piece of metal that screws into the tripod holder on the bottom of the camera. That’s it There is an opening so that you can get to the battery ( a little difficult) and SD card. When it’s installed, you have a good solid hand grip that matches the camera’s color and material. It does add some weight and mass to the camera though. It is an excellent add on. I highly recommend this.
