Torah: The Five Books of Moses Hardcover – December 7, 2011

Although I had to return my amazon copy that I ordered used due to condition, this version of Torah itself is my favorite. I enjoy the Kabbalah bits of info at the bottom of pages. It's easy to read for beginner like me. It's the same version of Torah we use at my local Chabad

Gefen Judaica is outstanding! This is the version used in my Synagogue and expedited delivery at no cost to me! I’ve taken on the Mitzvah to start replacing some of the very well loved books with newer ones (with Rabbi Ruvi New’s permission, of course). The extremely well loved and used ones will be given to others who would like to use them at home. Thank you Gefen Judaicia for participating with me in this Mitzvah!

At over 1'300 relatively tightly written pages, it is a "heavy" volume not only literally, but intellectually. The commentators exhibit a deep knowledge of their subjects and their sources.My only gripe - the original Hebrew has been translated into quite modern, contemporary English whereas precious more flowery or poetical translations rendered the flavor of the original better.

I really enjoyed using this Chumash a study aid since it provides commentary from multiple sources

I love the graphics in this. That was what attracted me to this version in the first place. I first saw it at our Chabad shul. As I read it, it surely is a treasure trove of information, some long, some in snippets. The Food for Thought is something we use as a dvar Torah on Shabbat. We learn from the kabbalah shorts. Instead of long commentaries, you can tell that some commentary is inserted in the narrative itself, giving this a twist on the usual English versions. Highly recommended!

The format of this Torah opens it up to be more easily read and understood. It is a joy to read and experience.I recommend it for what it imparts so concisely.The wealth of information conveyed is astounding. Everything is put in context.I have other Torah, but this is the one I will use from now on.
