Excellent laptop. Works like a charm! Very pleased.
Great laptop at a very good price! I really liked the specs of this laptop but initially was a bit cautious. After using it for a week, I cannot wait to share my experience on this product: 1. It's truly an excellent decision to buy this laptop - I am so happy that I bought it! 2. For what I want to use the laptop for (web surfing, writing, video watching, but no computer games), the laptop works very well in my opinion: fast, convenient - so easy to use and configure. 3. I don't know if battery can last 9+ hours while running video, but I believe it can certainly be good for 5+ hours (I also had 60 other browser tabs open). One caution: laptop batteries can deteriorate if consistently exposed to cold temperatures (any battery, not just HP), and that's how I broke my previous HP laptop. So I suggest not to leave your laptop near an open window for a long time in the winter - that's the mistake I made with my older HP. 4. Display is very pleasing to the eyes (and it's anti-glare). I like the sound too, although I am a person who is not very particular about sound. 5. Keyboard: just to prove nothing is perfect - the keyboard looks like plastic to me, and I admit that initially I was a bit disappointed since I was comparing it with my older $1000 HP; however, the keyboard turned out to be very easy and comfortable to use if you manage to get over the first 5 minutes. 6. USB port: It took me a couple of minutes to slide in my beat-up flash drive into the USB port, which seemed a bit tight to me at the beginning. But then I figured out out to manage and it's all cool from there. 7. Price: I did extensive researches before I bought this laptop. It was an amazing price ($569) for the laptop of this high quality (that's why I didn't believe it initially - 30GB RAM, 1TB SSD!). Other vendors sell similar laptops for quite a few hundred dollars more. 8. Manufacturer's warranty: I checked and found that I got 10 months left, which is more than fine with me. It's a brand new laptop, but like some buyers also said - the vendor upgraded the RAM etc and this could take a couple of weeks. The upgrade works quite well and it helps to keep the price down I guess. Final thoughts: - I saw that a couple of folks were not happy because they were hoping to have this laptop work with multiple monitors. Well, I knew this laptop cannot do this because I saw that the vendor made this very clear in the laptop specs - we just need to read it. - I thought the direction to get FREE Microsoft Office was quite easy to follow - just decline the Office 365 trial offer during initial set up and you will get the FREE Office which was already installed on your laptop. Hope this helps. I would like to thank the vendor "Smartisan Tech" for such an amazing product at this great price! I will definitely check what they are selling next time I buy any electronics! I hope they are not going to increase their price on me. LOL

Inexpensive, High-Quality Laptop – A Fantastic Buy!
I recently purchased this laptop and was honestly surprised by how much value I got for such an affordable price. It offers everything I needed—smooth performance, a decent screen, and great battery life—at a fraction of the cost of other laptops in the same category. I was so impressed with it that I ended up buying a second one! For anyone on a budget or just looking for a reliable laptop for everyday use, this is a fantastic option. It runs smoothly for all the basic tasks like browsing, streaming, and working on documents. It’s lightweight, easy to set up, and feels surprisingly premium for the price. I highly recommend this laptop to anyone who doesn’t want to break the bank but still needs something that performs well. I’m really happy with my purchase and confident that I made a great buy.

Good value for money - meets some demanding business needs
I bought this to replace a 7 year old HP laptop that died due to mobo not SSD. I do not game but I do Photoshop, AutoCAD 2025 and SolidWorks 2025 and I have to say this is a pretty good laptop. I do not use it as my main PC but it is great for travel and meetings as I can pull up plans and drawings in 2D and 3D and it does a pretty good job of rendering and spinning images. I also use it for Visio schematic drawings, PLC and HMI programming and System programming in Visual Studio. For the money I am pretty impressed and it is lightweight and boots up quick. My only caution for those with an office environment is that I could not get it to pass video through the USB-C port to my Docking station connected to the KVM switch so I have to plug in the KVM HDMI cable directly into the laptop HDMI port plus the USB-C to get it to dock and work the desk monitor and mouse/keyboard but when I do it works well and I can use a 27in monitor alongside the laptop screen which is great for seeing detail. Overall this is a great laptop and good value for money.

My Review of the HP 15.6" FHD Business & Student Laptop Computer, 32GB RAM 1TB
Ok folks, this laptop is ok, not great, not bad. For the price, it is good. Slow to load in the initial setup up but everything works great. For the price, you can't beat it. The processor is dated, but with the 32gig set up, it's not bad no real issues. I am just saying it's not the fastest out there, but for a student, it's fine. The battery discharges fast,t so you need to cycle the battery a few times, meaning you should run the battery down and then recharge, so that the memory on the battery improves. Also, the drivers need updating. Not a bad pc. I may have spent a little more on a pc if I were to do over, but overall not a bad pc for the price. BTW it says not backlit screen but it does have a nice keyboard light for work at night.

No customer service through either Amazon or HP services.
I bought this computer in February 2025 from Amazon. It worked beautifully for 10 months until today (12/16/25). It won't come on following all the manufacturer's instructions, following google instructions and following youtube instructions. It has been unplugged and the charger removed, the back taken off. The fan moves if you move it but the components close to the fan are very hot to the touch. The charger port light is still on; I cannot turn the computer on or off using any method. Amazon won't talk to me other than to direct me to HP website. HP says my warranty has expired but I've only had it for 10 months. HP offers me services I can pay for, but even so, I won't buy HP products again. I wouldn't give it a one-star if I had a choice.

Caution if wanting to use a docking station
The point of this laptop was to replace a blue-screening tower and now add the flexibility to take it with me whether traveling or up to the couch and be comfy while using it. It’s been 3 months now and overall, it does what I needed. However, there are 2 very specific things that have made it not the perfect choice: 1) The brightness/contract does not work as I expected. I cannot get the screen to ‘pop’ with colors. Everything always looks faded and is sometimes hard to read depending on lighting. It does not have what I consider normal controls. There is a brightness slider bar – but it essentially takes the faded colors and washes them out even more the brighter you set it. There is no contrast slider bar. The only contrast option is to use the high contrast settings for visually impaired – which is essentially varying degrees of black and white. I have spent hours on this. However, my primary plan was to use my large monitor most of the time anyway; leading to problem #2. 2) An HP docking station was ordered at the same time to facilitate easily taking it with me and plugging back in on return. The monitor has an HDMI port, so does the docking station and the laptop does as well. The docking station is a USB-C output, which the computer also has a port for. [There are 2 USB-A, 1 USB-C and 1 HDMI ports on the laptop – that’s it.] HOWEVER, apparently, not all USB-Cs can receive a video feed unless it has a ‘display port alternate mode’ in it. I have been unable to find anywhere where this model officially does or does not. That aside, it does not. Using HP’s PC Dock and Displays Diagnostics App, the monitor does not show and will not work through the docking station. I can plug it directly into the laptop with the HDMI port and it works, but one more cable to mess with. I should mention that I thought it was the docking station at first and had that replaced – those folks were great going back and forth trying to figure this out. Sure would be nice if these kinds of details were in the descriptions when you buy! One other note, I bought the 2TB version – however, it’s actually only 1.82 TB. As I said, overall, the machine does what it essentially should. I tend to have a zillon things open at once and it handles that fine. But if any of the above issues are crucial for you, look at another model.

Highly Recommend this HP Laptop
These laptops are a great value for the money. I bought 2 of them to replace the desktop units we had and we've never looked back. HP has a great reputation in the computer market, and these laptops do not disappoint. They have built in webcams and speakers that make video calls a pleasure. The quality of the video and sound is phenomenal and the portability great, I can be out on the patio, in the gazebo, garage or in the house and the connectivity is perfect. I highly recommend this laptop no matter what phase of life you're in. My granddaughter is 9 and her class just started doing some class work online, she has one and easily navigates using all the available functions. The screen quality is what you would expect of a much more expensive laptop and the durability is phenomenal. Yes, it passed the drop test courtesy of two dogs wrestling and bumping the table!
