The SwitchEasy CoverBuddy for iPad is a very well-designed case that provides solid protection while maintaining a slim profile. It fits securely and works well with accessories, making it very practical for everyday use. Overall, it’s a premium-feeling and reliable iPad accessory that performs very well.

2022 REVIEW: Overall the product does what it says it does. Unfortunately, the only USB-C cable that will fit and charge the iPad while this product is attached is the Apple OEM cable. Most other brand USB-Cables will not fit in the hole for the charging port and will be blocked from being fully inserted, thereby preventing charging or data transfer. I used a drill to widen the hole because I don't like to use my Apple OEM cables while I travel. If you've ever used an Apple OEM cable in your car or loaned it to a "friend" for five minutes, you now how the cables have a tendency of wandering off. I continue to use mine, but I figured I should mention this slight flaw so that others don't get caught off guard. Otherwise, it's very easy to use. It keeps the pen more secure than the magnet alone and works well with the keyboard and other magsafe covers. 2024 UPDATE: I fixed the cable issue by cutting out a bit around the USB-C port. Now all cables work fine. However I'm on my second one because they are flimsy and break easily. I won't be buying a third one because I'm lost my pencil twice. Thankfully, I found it each time, but I'm done. I changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. Save your money. PHOTOS: 1 & 2 w/ Apple Magic Keyboard and Cover. 3 & 4 w/ magsafe mount. Not the pencil bay is broken.

I feel like sometimes people see products and expect manufacturers to be able to deny the laws of physics. The truth is if you are looking for something that is compatible with the Magic Keyboard you have to understand you’re going to be getting something pretty thin. It has to be able to fit in clothes while using this keyboard and this product does exactly that. Yes, at one end the cover does not extend all the way, but that is simply because once again due to the laws of physics, two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time lol. There would be no possible way to close this due to the fact of how the Magic Keyboard is set up. You were wanting to buy this if you want a cover that you could put on your iPad and pop it in and out of the Magic Keyboard case. You want something thin that will protect it from scratches. If you are looking for something super durable that could fall from 68 feet and still protected this isn’t for you. This isn’t some sort of OtterBox defender. For me, it did exactly what I wanted it to.

As a music teacher, I usually use my IPad Pro (12.9) for classroom teaching, music composition, or other music-related task. This case is really a great helper for me. It not only protects your iPad but also provides a convenient place to store your Apple Pencil. Especially when you often switch between the Magic Keyboard and handheld mode, having a suitable protective case is essential. Although it’s a bit pricey, it’s a worthwhile investment if it fits perfectly and prevents scratches!

I have used this rather gently for the last 3 years and it’s a nice extra bit of securing my pencil and popping on and off the keyboard. That is until one of the 3 contact pins fell out and prevents the connection from completing now. Great idea but the engineering needed more I guess. Funny thing was it fell out while setting it down onto the folio and the pin stuck to the magnets for the keyboard but would not fit back in the case without popping back out immediately

I bought this after my Apple Pencil fell off of my iPad Pro onto a concrete floor, completely breaking the tip off, ruining the super expensive accessory I can't live without. I did a search to see what I could use to prevent this from happening, while allowing me to still use my Magic Keyboard. This seemed to be up there in the ratings and solved what I was looking for. Kind of expensive, but it costs less than continually replacing broken Apple Pencil's, so there's that... After receiving it and installing it, which was super simple, I started watching a video through my earbuds. The volume was super high and I needed to quickly turn the volume down. This is when I realized that my fingers could barely reach the volume and power buttons! While I'm able to still adjust the volume and hit the power buttons, it isn't easy. I now have to press my fingers hard to squeeze into the opening to make enough contact to press the buttons. To make matters more annoying, I often take screenshots and reboot the iPad as I do a lot of beta testing. Performing the screenshot and hitting the volume up then down and then holding the power button to reboot isn't as easy as it used to be. I feel like I'm making a big deal out of something that shouldnt' be a big deal... but it is a big enough annoyance that I feel I need to put it out there. Maybe I just have giant fingers, so YMMV!

I might be okay with the quality had it cost a fraction of the price, even then I’d be displeased. Came in the package with a pretty serious warp to the plastic, does not fit tightly and will “pop” off the edges way too easily by just holding the iPad like normal to draw or browse, volume buttons are way too hard to depress, magic keyboard does not close all the way while attached. Ultimately this product causes more issues than the one issue it was trying to fix which is basically to shield your pencil from getting knocked off the charging spot. May be fine for casual users, but if you’re a heavy user that uses your iPad for serious and art related uses, stay far away. It’s cheaply made, expensively sold.

I recently got an iPad pro + apple pencil + magic keyboard. I didn’t like how the apple pencil loosely stuck to the side of my iPad, and it would often get lost in my bag when taking my iPad to work and other places. I also wasn’t a fan of how exposed the iPad was on the side. The CoverBuddy solves both of these issues. My apple pencil stays exactly where I need it at all times, and I feel very protected by the case itself. I really like that the case is compatible with the magic keyboard, and that it is still protected when removed from the dock. I wish it had protection on the side of the ipad closest to the keyboard, but I understand that the case wouldn’t close flush if there was an extra material there. 10/10 would recommend.

Awesome product, fits the I pad 11 really well, houses the pencil maintaining it’s safety. Also charges while in the Cover Buddy. Fantastic product well worth the purchase if a little pricy in my opinion

Je le trouve bien, il protège bien le pencil et l ipad. Un peu plus dur d acces pour les boutons volumes et n est pas protégé sur le dessous de la tablette. Par contre, il est très magnétique et se detache rarement
