I recommend you use a bike repair shop to install. I tried installing myself, and failed.

I ordered these replacement cables for my walker since one of the brake cables does not release smoothly. I have not replaced the cable but have fitted this one into position to check compatibility in length and ends. This cable is close to the original cable and looks to be of decent quality with an adjustable mid- links. The mid-link will also serve as an access point to keep the cable lubricated if need be. The cable is also encapsulated with a weatherproof housing cover which will protect the cable from element exposure.

This brake cable work well on my knee walker. But I wonder if it was necessary to ship it so tightly wrapped and folded so often? It was difficult to get it unwrapped without damaging the cable. I didn't see any crack in the cable cover but I wonder if this will shorten it's life. Cost was very reasonable at about $11.
