Great Utility Knife, Surprisingly Thick Spine (A Good Thing)
This thing is a BEAST! It’s pretty sharp out of the package; it’s enough where you can cut yourself, but you can’t shave with it. Anyways, the blade is like a small cleaver; it’s awesome. It keeps a pretty good edge and the spine is nice and thick. From the heft, it definitely “feels” like tool steel. It’s great for cutting open cardboard boxes, hah! It’s got some heft to it so you’ll definitely know it’s in your front pocket. The knife’s finger tab is not really made for a fast flick movement; it can be done, but it’ll take the right technique though and a little practice. It’s a great utility knife. Of all my EDC’s the spine on this one this the beefiest. It’s a nice utility knife; I give it high marks.

Great. I like Gerbers new offerings at reasonable prices
The reviews I read about this knife have an accurate picture as to what mine was (ie. Tight pocket clip, can't open with one hand). Yes, the pocket clip on mine was so tight it wouldn't budge in order to clip it to my pocket. I had to loosen the pocket clip screws in order to get this thing to clip to my pocket. That worked, no worries. The knife is very tight and cannot be opened one handed. I tried to loosen the pivot screw, but the screw is so soft it stripped. The soft metal of the pivot screw is in tighter than it can handle. That's a bummer. I put some Benchmade blue lube in there and worked the knife around. That hasn't made much of a difference but hopefully after using it for a few days it'll loosen up to where it's a one-hand opening knife. I really like the cheaper steel in this knife, and wish that other manufacturers would consider cheaper steel. It's fast to sharpen, gets sharper than stronger steel, and keeps the price of the knife reasonable. Sure, S35VN gets rave reviews in knife forums (or my favorite, CPM-20CV), but in real world use I haven't noticed high end steel improving my life in any meaningful way. I'm not the user who needs an edge to stay sharp for long periods of time, so being able to quickly sharpen this to a freakishly sharp edge is a plus for me. The cleaver style blade looks really cool on Instagram, but in everyday use I'm not sure how useful it'll be for my lifestyle (a city office worker who spends more time in a data center than the outdoors, per se). Since I work in an office, my co-workers do a double-take when I'm opening a box with my Victorinox Waiter, so this over-3-inch cleaver would brand me as a menace to society (not saying I agree, just the facts and I'm mindful/aware of other people's feelings). So rather than EDCing this blade, I look forward to having this as my weekend knife, something to assist when I'm cooking on the grill (chopping up vegetables or cutting up steak tips) or doing weekend chores in the garage, cleavering open those paper yard bags, or maybe cleavering my hedges as though I am Edward Cleaverhands. It does look great on Instagram tho.

Worth the money!
I ordered this knife on a Saturday afternoon and on Sunday afternoon it was in my hand. The first thing I wanna say about this knife is it is the most original design by a major manufacturer that I've seen in some time. The blade is very heavy duty but it's not heavy in the hand and it carry's great. The tan scale gives it a great look and is also comfortable in the hand. The stonewashed finish on the blade really gives it that unique look. The only issue I have with function is the pocket clip. It's very solid and will need a break in period. I put this knife through some tests and I have to say it performed rather well. I hacked through a 2.5 inch fallen tree limb in just under 4 minutes. After that I took a branch and whittled all of the bark off of it. Finally I cut 3 corrugated boxes into small pieces. I have found that paper will really dull a blade out. After all of this. The knife held its edge. I went right back to shaving the first stick down. This knife would be great for camping, backpacking or even as every day carry. It would also make a great gift for anyone that needs a knife or just wants one. I am very impressed with this knife, and you will be too.

Good Knife For The Price
I’ll preface this by saying I’ve only had this knife for a couple days, so I don’t have a ton of experience with it so far. Overall I think it’s a really good knife for the price. It’s very sturdy, relatively sharp, not razor sharp, but sharp enough. The thumb slot takes some getting used to, I’m used to knives with a thumb stud so that’s easily explained. The detent on it is definitely stiff, but it loosens up with some oil and a couple of days of use. I have the aluminum version and I’ve noticed that the paint has started chipping on it, but it’s a work knife for me so it’s not a huge deal. Overall I’m very happy with it so far. If anything changes I’ll update.

great knife, useless clip
excellent quality knife, sharp, great profile and hand feel. as others have said, the clip is so tight its unable to bend and be a clip. you cant get it to clip on pants or a belt, at all. feel like i should take it off since its totally useless other than thickening the knife handle would buy again tho

A great knife!
This is one of the best knives I've ever owned. It was fairly sharp out of the box, but I gave it a sharper edge. It sharpened and has kept its edge well. For me it feels about average in weight compared to other knives I've carried. Personally, I find it easy to open one handed. It locks solid and is not difficult to close. The handle is a nice sturdy material. As far as where I live, the style and size make it very legal to carry.

Great Knife for the price!
Love this knife. Big fan of the sheep foot/hatchet form factor. Came out the box sharp. Action is good. The thumb hole is comfortable, but the knife will open with a flick of the wrist. Good weight. I have big hands, so the size feels good in my palm. I normally use it to open packages, but it can do way more. Great Knife for the price!

PESSIMO E DELUDENTE!
