Rollicool 100H Portable Air Conditioner Rocks!
Just took delivery of this beautiful Rollibot Rollicool 100H 14,000 btu portable ac and it is a great unit on many levels. I operate an airbnb and need remote control via their internet app which works well AND it has Alexa voice control which makes it very easy for guests to turn it on and off and adjust temps with their voice. I did a lot of research and Rollibot is one of the few companies to offer both a wifi app to remotely monitor the ac, as well as Alexa voice control. I'm a skeptic when it comes to btu cooling ratings, this model is 14,000 btu, but I can verify during a summer heat wave here in NYC with 92 degree temps and high humidity, this unit successfully cooled a 220 sq ft room with 12 foot ceilings. To keep the heat out, we also installed dark wooden blinds over two very large windows in this br. The Rollicool is very simple to install, but you MUST secure the vent hose to the window mount with an adequate nut and bolt, I used 8/32" size and drilled out the mounting post on the flange. The motor is powerful and really puts out a blast of frigid air. This is a well engineered, top of the line product, you won't be disappointed either with the unit or its attendant iPhone and Android app and its Alexa smooth functionality. Good job, Rollibot!

Very cold, great price, crappy package, non-directional air flow.
Got this on Amazon Flash Deal, so couldn't beat the price per BTU. Arrived quickly so I was hoping it would be in good shape. The product was in surprisingly good shape considering the CRAPPY packaging job... The package was actually completely OPEN by the time I received it - I could reach in and grab the owner's manual. Luckily according to the manual, everything was still in there. I set it up and tested it and it was putting out 48 deg F. Seems mechanically sound. I really wish it had better packaging as I keep it in the garage as an emergency spare (I have really bad central air that konks out regularly, and also want a portable that my small generator can handle after a hurricane) I ended up gluing parts of the foam and box back together to help make it suitable to store.PROS: Solid machine, lots of cold air - as rated. Great price especially on the Flash Deal. Fast delivery (got it within 3 days.)CONS: No way to direct the air flow, it just blows up and to the sides and the vents are either fully open or fully closed. Pathetic packaging.

Worked for a bit, then leaked non-stop
I ordered this unit based on the echo compatibility and the fact that it was on sale. Big mistake. It seems underpowered for the btu rating. We have a lg 10k btu model that has ran for two years in the space but we wanted to move that one too a smaller bedroom for our daughter so she could sleep better too. The rollicool seemed to cool the space slower and had to run more often to keep down the temperature compared to the lg. The exhaust hose is thin and falls out of both the cuff that connects it to the unit and the window with the slightest bump. The echo compatibility is handy, when it would work. I had to restart the unit on multiple occasions to reconnect to the echo. This is the only echo compatible item I have had issues with. All of the issues I could live with until it decided to leak water on to my hardwood after only 2 weeks of use. I tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions in the manual but draining the water as suggested did no good. It would start to leak again after an hour or so every time. I will not buy a product of the brand again. Unfortunately the damage seems to be permanent. Don’t take the risk on the cheaply made gimmicky unit. There are better, more reliable options in the same price range out there if you can live without the echo compatibility.

Not so much...
So far, not so good.... I set up the air-conditioner for the first time today. It was about 80° outside, pretty warm but not terrible. Within the first couple of hours of letting the air conditioner run, it actually got warmer in the room it was in. It was definitely set on the cooling mode, but it just couldn’t keep up with the outside temperature even though it wasn’t that hot. After a few hours, I also noticed a puddle of water forming on the floor underneath the unit (see photo). There is a light that is supposed to come on when it is full and needs the water dumped, but that has not happened. It is just leaking. As much of a pain in the but it is going to be to pack this thing back up, it may be going back…

Might need to make a cut to the window attachment.
The window box is horrible. It does not fit my window. I am going to have to go cut it down to size with my reciprocal saw. On top of that it has no padding on the edges and is super thin plastic. I would have expected something that would actually protect the window from seeping in 100 degree air. This is not the case. I will most likely try to build something around or on top of this thing to make it more effective. I have yet to turn the unit on, but I would say that the window connection piece is a piece of junk at first look. I don't know if this is expected or not, but will update once I get it installed and working, and will figure out how to secure it better for more insulated support. I expect to glue some type of backer insulation foam to the plastic.EditThe unit itself did run really well, and kept the room much cooler than my overall house unit does for the second floor. My guests were very pleased with the ability to control the room. I still plan to build some better padding around the window plastic, and did have to go to the basement to cut the plastic down to size. All in all, I may buy a couple smaller ones for my kids rooms.
