You can tell when some serious thought has gone into the design of something. This microphone system from Sennheiser is so clever and thoughtful in many ways which when added to the performance of the actual tech inside makes it a compelling package for those looking for a mobile mic system.What you have essentially are two clip on mics and a receiver which can be plugged directly into iPhone or Android mobiles and other recording devices. The mics and receiver fit neatly into a charging bar which can also double up as a handheld microphone if you want to use the mics in that way, or you could also mount it to use as a podcast-style mic. This versatility really sets hot apart from other clip on mic systems I've used.Another genius feature is internal recording which means that if the receiver was ever to lose signal from the mic due to line of sight issues, the recording is backed up on the mic itself, so you don't lose any of your recording. The safety channel mode provides a lower level recording to guard against vocal clipping and is another way to help you relax when recording, especially in a pressured or time-sensitive environment.The design of the charging bar is phenomenal, everything fits together compactly and beautifully and means that carrying around this kit is never going to be a pain and avoids loose cables and problems with set up. I've used this a few times already and the results have been fantastic but it's the ease of use that really makes it a joy to take out.My only small niggle are the two magnets which are to provide a non-clip option for attaching the mics (if the subject is wearing a high necked jumper for example). Despite feeling really strong, I've found that in practice they have struggled to get a good connection when being used with a jumper for example.

This is a great microphone. It’s really easy to set up and simple to use. Really easy to follow. Sound quality is excellent. It’s very well made and everything is great quality. Really good value for money.

I would give this a 0 if i could, it would not pair automatically or restarting manually, horrible sound and over horrible experience with this product, not worth the price or hassle i simply hate it.

Everything about this is good, and you can't often say that about a product!It seems to have been really well thought out to provide what you need in different situations and to do it simply. It looks really cool too!Basically you get two wireless lav mics (2.4Ghz) and a receiver. Nothing unusual in that, but what is cool is that they all sit a charging bar that also doubles as a mic! You can be mic'd up with a lav and carry interviews with the handheld. It all works really well.As you would expect from Sennheiser the sound quality is superb. An excellent feature is that the mics have internal recording that takes over if the wireless signal drops out! What a clever idea.All very stylish too and packs into a carrying case.Superb!
