It’s more likely a 3 stars product for durability on the hairs. But I admire the genius product for a friendly kids hair products. Easy to use, wet the area and apply the colour. The colours are more vibrant on light hair. I tried to put some hairspray to fix the colours but the hair got damped a bit and the colour faded. Instead, I used a water spray first, used a gel to model the style, them I used an hairspray and blow dry. Finally, I could use the colours. 2 techniques you can do with the chalk clamped on it or use one side where the colour is and rub or slide it on the hair. That was for my boys hair.

I'm pleasantly surprised with this - to be honest, I wasn't really expecting it to work quite as well as it did! I thought that even if the colours didn't show up, it would just be a fun "make-believe" activity to do with my three-year-old. But LOOK! 😆 Her hair is light-medium brown, and we actually got a really effective result! Followed the instructions, using a spray bottle of water to wet each strand before applying, then blow-dried it with a hairdryer to set it afterwards. Process was a little bit messy (my hands were covered in it, lol) but it's only chalk, it easily washes off/wipes up. My daughter was dancing around in delight for a whole day with her rainbow hair, then it all washed off at bathtime no problem. And I think there's enough chalk to get another couple of sessions out of the pack. Great fun... might even have a go myself...

I have yet to see how long this lasts , but this is my son this morning. The product is easy to use and the colour are vibrant and colourful. I may have applied too much hair spray. I followed the instructions from other users and it worked well.

Not great overall.Good bits: Colour application was OK on mid brown hair, following instructions was better than expected. I didn't feel it was that much better on my blond child but satisfactory for the occasion.Didn't last too badly through the school day, and as expected was 50% gone by the end of the day with just a tinge of blue remaining, and plenty had dropped onto ears, shoulders. Glad I covered my ivory car seats in an old blanket!The bad...The worst thing imo is the applicator - the chalks are in a metal tin, much like a tealight candle case - and this just rags at your hair, probably not so bad for a lad who keeps it short and will soon be having it all chopped again, but for longer hair you can feel it hacking at it, pulling and catching! I trialled it on my hair, just a small section and realised this - never again! I wouldn't use this on a child with long hair that they're proud of!!The final straw was using it and about halfway through it all just suddenly caked up and fell out all over my carpet!! Did the same thing with 2 other colours. In the end I binned them all! Shame really as the colour achieved was OK!
