Best little red pizza maker in town...
So far this pizza maker is amazing for the price! No bells and whistles! Simple, just plug in, heat up, cook and unplug. That's it! I make my own pizza dough and sauce. I was looking for a pizza maker however they are many that are just too expensive for my occasional pizza crave ( more often than none) After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase the Betty Crocker Pizza Oven...Let me tell you, I whipped a quick dough and sauce and put it through the test. The 2 pizza's I made came out delicious, the crust was tastier than most pizza's places. The only issue is trying to transfer the dough onto the hot plate. I tried and failed and re-kneeded the dough again. Therefore, I just stretched the dough on the oven itself after it cooled down some. Pizza, requires a preheated oven, so I wasn't sure how it was gonna pan out.( I will be ordering a pizza board to transfer my pizza onto the pizza oven) Even though the oven wasn't as hot as it needed to be the crust came out magnificent! Cant believe such an expensive and simple appliance did such a great job! I don't worry about burning the cheese because I always add the cheese after the pizza has cooked or while it's just resting afterwards- it melts just fine without burning. I didn't have any shredded mozzarella but used slices of cheese when I tried the pizza oven. It also makes great bacon and over easy eggs. I'm sure sandwiches will come delicious as well. My thoughts, you won't be disappointed with this little oven. It does get hot when you open the lid though. Beware of the steam, it can burn you. Definitely use a mitten.. Thank you Betty Crocker and Amazon for having such an affordable pizza oven. I will be purchasing a second one to hurry along pizza night.

Used it for a year, oven saver!
I have had this product for a year now and it has been perfect for me to use when I don't want to use my oven. (My kitchen is too small for a toaster oven.) There's no lengthy preheating involved and the cook time is considerably shorter than cooking in the oven, thus saving utilities. I simply plug it in, put in a 12" parchment baking liner (use and toss afterwards, no cleaning needed), wait two minutes or so for the green light, and put in the food. I need to observe the food to see when it's done, since the time is shorter than if using an oven. But once I learn the cook time for a food item, I can rely upon that time consistently. When I bought this I wasn't so much interested in cooking pizzas exclusively, but wanted to also cook frozen french fries, onion rings, cookies, cinnamon rolls, biscuits, Jamaican beef patties, and the like. I can say that all of those items I have cooked regularly over the past year and they have come out delicious (and the pizza actually tastes better than oven baked). In my experience pizza and cookies cook best when rotated occasionally (I just rotate clockwise the parchment liner using tongs), and fries and such need to be flipped over. As far as quality, this unit is in as good shape as new one year out. I'm happy to be able to pull this out, make a quick meal, and tuck it away again...no cleaning, no fuss. I find this to be a very useful kitchen appliance and pizza is just one potential food item of many that this is perfect for preparing quickly, deliciously, and conveniently. Edit: For anyone concerned about a potential power surge using this product (as it has no on/off switch), I suggest using a simple and inexpensive surge protector in your wall outlet.

Great price and versatile, but some parts of item description don't check out
Overall, I'm happy with this tool. I bought it so that I can cook things like pizza and tortillas on hot summer days without having to use the stovetop or oven. I can just take everything out to the garage workshop, plug the pizza maker in, and make dinner without heating up he house. We don't have AC, so this comes in handy. This thing is made to cook pizza, and it does a pretty good job of that. My homemade pie is cooked within about 12-14 minutes. The bottom crust comes out great. It's easy to use with parchment paper, which I expected to burn, but it did not. The top of the pizza comes out well cooked and bubbly, but not brown. You'd have to supplement with a few minutes under the broiler to give a brown top to the pizza. I also use it for tortillas. Works great to prep a flour tortilla to make a burrito, or a corn tortilla to make a tostada. It probably works really well for crepes, though I haven't tried that yet. I have tried to make tacos in it a couple times, with disappointing results. I think it's just too humid inside this cooker to work for tacos. The item description says it can be used as a "tortilla press," which is just plain ridiculous. You can use it to cook a tortilla, not to press one. (Unless maybe you want a tortilla that's an inch and a half thick.) Another part of the description says it's dishwasher safe, but also "hand wash only". Huh? It has an electrical cord, so I would not put it in the dishwasher. You don't need the dishwasher anyway; this product is very easy to clean. It's simple to use, but imprecise. It's either plugged in or unplugged; there's not even an on/off switch, and definitely no temperature controls. I'm estimating it cooks at about 425 degrees. All things considered, I think this is a good value for the price. While it takes about the same amount of time as the oven to cook a pizza, it preheats much faster, so overall cooking time is faster and energy use lower, plus it can be used anywhere where there's an electrical outlet.

Should Have Gotten This A Long Time Ago
Let me start by saying I am a Type II diabetic. No pizza for me if it's made with high carb flour. I got the Pizza Maker Plus because I was tired of cleaning cheese and ingredient spillage on my 8" quesadilla maker with the raised segments so I'd have 6 even pre-formed slices. With just the minimal ingredients, I was always fighting with cheese being smushed out and dripping down the maker, fighting to close it so it was secured shut if I added small amounts of ground beef or diced onion or green pepper. It was more of a pain if I was using the 10" or the 8" Zero Carb tortilla's. The 10" was too big and the 8" sizes were too small. I just finished making quesadilla's in both the 10 & 8 inch sizes. Put my fixin's on. Even threw on a little pizza sauce. Ten minutes later I was chowing down on what I would call the perfect homemade quesadilla. Top and bottom toasted just the way I like. No cheese smushed out on the 10" and with the 8", maybe 1/2 tsp of cheese showing in the Pizza Maker bottom pan. And that was my fault. If you're having the same troubles or have thought about a quesadilla maker, get the Betty Crocker Pizza Maker Plus. It doesn't just do pizza. Eggs, toasted cheese sandwiches, use your imagination

Love This Thing - Recommended!
We've had our pizza "oven" for a few months now and have used it a bunch. It makes great grilled cheese sandwiches and my husband uses it to cook his frozen Red Baron pizzas on those "I don't feel like cooking" nights. It does these well without having to heat up the house with our regular oven. I've even used it to grill French toast. Quick and easy clean-up, plus less electricity expense, especially with the AC on in the summer. And it doesn't dry out a pizza crust like a large oven can do. Those of us who can't tolerate dairy cheese, have to settle for pathetic cheese substitutes from just a few pizza franchises here in our town. So tonight, I took some homemade pizza dough (from my bread maker) and made my own pizza. I pre-heated the little oven and it did great. The photo shows the half I haven't eaten yet! Lightly browned toppings and crust with well-risen edges. (In case you need to know...Violife provolone and Miyoko's cashew-based mozzarella made up the cheese part.) We store the "oven" on its edge on the appliance shelf in our attached garage. Very happy I bought this affordable countertop oven and highly recommend it. Just two disappointing pizzas from the local pizza place would have cost more.

Convenient and Easy Pizza Maker!
The Betty Crocker Countertop Pizza Maker is a game-changer for homemade pizza! It heats up quickly and cooks the pizza evenly, giving it a crispy crust without the need for a traditional oven. The non-stick surface makes cleanup a breeze, and I love that I can make a fresh pizza in just a few minutes. It’s perfect for pizza nights and much quicker than preheating a large oven. Pros: • Cooks pizza quickly and evenly • Non-stick surface for easy cleanup • Compact and space-saving • Ideal for small to medium-sized pizzas Cons: • The size is great for personal pizzas, but it might not fit larger family-sized pizzas. Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to

Good for now
Pro: Pizza maker makes pizzas pretty good in about 8-10 minutes depending on how many toppings. My grandkids like cheese pizzas which takes 8 min. More topping takes 10 min. Cons: When first delivered it was broken to pieces during shipping. I saw how thin the casing was but still decided to go with it. I returned it and it was replaced. The cord is way too short. I saw a video where a man had it on a chair, I would not recommend this as the pizza maker gets very hot. You need to have counter space close to an outlet. It does the job but I'm going to look into getting a better one
