Great Product
I watched a video on replacing the foam sub surrounds. The video made it look super easy. It was a little tougher than it looked but I'll be darned if I didn't save a $700 JL Sub!!! I was very excited upon powering up the system in the car again.

High Quality Surround Replacement
After almost ten years, the surround on my JL 10W6V2 was weary. It was snagged by some cargo and damaged pretty badly. Shipping to JL for repairs was going to be cost prohibitive, but I thought I'd give this repair a try.The new surround is of same or better quality than the original foam on this sub ever was. The fitment was perfect, no trimming necessary. The cone of my sub sets ever so slightly below level with the frame, but I glued the surround to the cone first as the instructions say and it all worked out just fine. I gave each curing/drying step at least two hours to be sure it was complete, and left the freshly repaired sub installed overnight before I used it. There seems to have been a bit of breaking-in, as the sound changed a fair bit after a couple hours of use, which is fairly common with new materials.

Easy to use and install worked great!
Followed the instructions to a "t" and my speaker plays like new again. I will say though, none of the videos express just how hard the glue on the metal frame really is. I thought I was digging metal but after the first go round I realized you have to put some elbow grease in to scrape that stuff off the frame. Other than that hiccup, super easy install that saved me hundreds of dollars and works beyond expectations. Thank you for such a great product.

Exactly what is needed to fix a 10w6 V2
I am very happy I decided to order this on Amazon and not other sites like I was thinking. This is listed as the correct foam to repair a 10w6v2 and it is. Some sites sell a different foam that will not work on the v2. The glue works great and after some fidgeting I was able to get the foam to seat correctly. If you have time it is most likely easier to do the inner edge on the cone first, allow that to cure, then do the outside. doing both at the same time was not easy.Oh and the sub did not sound right at all after the repair. It apparently needed a few hours to break in the foam or something because now it sounds just like it should.

Worked Great
I was very worried I was going to mess something up by doing this repair. Turns out with the detailed instructions and great materials it was very easy and turned out great. Subwoofer works just like new and I am very very happy.

Fit great, but didn't last as long as original.
Fitment was perfect and the overall installation was easy. The longevity leaves a bit to be desired though. I purchased this very same kit back in October of 2022 to replace the original surround, and now I'm here for the same process again. Not happy with the quality, but I'm not sure if there are better options available. The price isn't bad though, and It does fit great, so I'm gonna stick with this brand for now, and hopefully I'll have better luck this time.

So happy I fixed my JL!
When you have a $300-500 speaker and it blows the foam surround it’s kind of devastating. Found this kit and videos on YouTube and boom fixed and back to thumping hard shaking the mirrors! Just go slow and take your time cleaning the old foam and glue off. Don’t use too much glue it will go all over.
