Great algea control. Fine with my shrimps
Great product has helped weeken hair algea and now all my shrimp are going crazy on it. Will see how it does with the black beard algea. Has really helped one tank near a sunny window with its algea issues. Will definitely keep a bottle of this on hand.

It could be my imagination
I read all the reviews that said they aren’t sure if it really does anything but their plants are doing great and I have came to the same conclusion. I have several planted tanks and the ones that I use this stuff in have been having new growth at rates I have never seen before. I have heavily planted with no co2 gas injected into the systems. I will be buying this stuff for as long as they sell it. It could still be a scam but i really don’t think so

It works!
I was skeptical to say the least. I've used leaf zone and that doesn't really do anything. I even tried a yeast based co2 injection which made bubbles but didn't seem to do anything either. So I decided to give this product a whirl...For one example- I've had java and christmas mosses in my tank for months and haven't done anything except fade away. Once I started adding Co2 booster, I actually saw growth! Same with my dwarf hairgrass. Other plants don't seem that affected, but no worse. Shrimp and fish are safe. So, I'd say this product is effective. I don't use it every single day- maybe I remember every third day.

API CO2 Booster! Question
API CO2 booster! QuestionI bought the API CO2 Booster as well as the Sera CO2 start. Before commenting on API, let's talk about Sera. Using CO2 drop checker, we can measure Sera co2 start from blue to green, but the dosage used is different from that of the manufacturer, so we need to use 2-3 tablets, and the water is 40-60L! Because this week, my moss grows rapidly from withered and yellow! Yes, pay attention to the picture of Moss, because I have not injected carbon dioxide since I bought Moss, so it leads to a large area of Moss withered and yellow, and there is no sign of growth at all! I do have a diy co2 device, but I don't want to use it and want to compare it with other types of CO2! Therefore, Moss faced death, and now it can be seen that Moss, who is withered and yellow, has grown again! It's Api CO2 Booster! Is it carbon dioxide? Can say yes, can say no! But it is not and incorrect, because glutaraldehyde can be biodecomposed in the environment, and the product does not contain halogen, and the decomposed product is carbon dioxide! Just like other aquatic plants, it is organic carbon liquid, and you can't detect any changes using CO2 drop checker! Therefore, we must pay attention to the use and use the dose carefully. If you doubt the efficacy and increase the excess dose, it will brake the fish, but algae removal has a certain effect! Individuals can take oxygen to avoid insufficient dissolved oxygen! I just started test today, and I believe it will take some time before I can make substantive and effective remarks, but it should be noted that it is an organic carbon liquid and a nutrient needed by plants. Therefore, it will take me some time to make a comment! How effective is it? Can it be like Sera CO2 start? But I will give five-star praise, and I believe it will bring me surprises!Update: 22-09-22It's been 4 days, the same 40-60L water, 10ml dose is put into drought, and when you go home late to turn on the lights, you also use a carbon dioxide detector, but the light is only 4 hours, so you are afraid of growing moss and love moss, but not algae! I occasionally wipe off some, but not completely, because of the fish tank health index! Three days early did not feel the situation, to this morning saw the detector green, the reason is 21-09 night home to turn on the lights, after forget to turn off the lights! It was not until I got up this morning that I looked at the fish tank, changed water and fed, and found that the detector turned blue to green! The lights have been turned on for more than 8 hours! Let's estimate it like this! The daily dose of 10ml, change the water and clean the next day, and the dose put in earlier may remain in the fish tank under the condition of insufficient light, maybe not!Personally, I think API CO2 booster is effective. However, it is best not to use the dosage according to the instructions, but according to the size of your fish tank, the number of aquatic plants and the water capacity! You must observe for yourself, how many doses you put in, and how long you illuminate! But the last thing to mention is that oxygen must be given! Personal practice: Put in the dose early, let the aquatic plants absorb it, and turn on the light at night! Will glutaraldehyde deprive the fish tank of oxygen? Therefore, I use dissolved oxygen device to increase dissolved oxygen! And everyone's fish tank, in practice, will be different! Observe for yourself.

Great with plants, not snails
All my plants in my tank started flourishing after I used this I would recommend. I did notice it affected the snails in the tank though. Still great product.

Yes and no
After purchasing this product I told people in a Facebook group that I was going to add this product to my tank care and they gave me a lot of strong warnings not to use it, that it was toxic, and that it could kill my fish.I didn’t have any snails and algae was getting out of control, so I went ahead and tried it at a very low dose. They were talking about dosing at the recommended levels like most people would. I’ve been using it in syringe and only about 1/10 the recommended dose, only when algae starts getting out of control. It does seem to kill off excess algae very quickly while also promoting root growth. So it does seem to do what it says. Even when I just use a tiny amount, my plants always have tons of additional roots within 24 hours. I hope it‘s not doing any long term damage to my lovely fish in this super low dose, cause I’m lazy and I love how fast it seems to work and improve the look of my plants. I wish I felt safe using it at higher doses. I would love to see what it could really do.I’m using only 5 drops which is 1/10 of a milliliter, in a 5 gallon tank. It’s pretty impressive. I don’t use it daily or weekly, only when I see an issue starting. I purchased some snails, which it is supposedly bad for, but they are still alive at that dose. And it only decreases the algae mildly at that dose, so they still have enough to eat. Personally, I would rather use this than snails to control algae since they threw off my tank parameters more than this product does.Even in my tiny 2.5 gallon tank it only takes a few drops of this stuff to quickly control excess algae growth. I would advise people to start at a very low dose like I did.At any rate, so far it seems to work, even at very low doses. I only gave it 3 stars because people who know more than I do about fish care warned me so adamantly against using this product in particular, at the suggested doses on the bottle.

It helps with algae.
I got a big bottle of API Co2, thinking it'd help my aquarium plants. But it doesn't really do much for them; it actually helps with algae control. I still haven't finished this bottle, and I use it on five tanks: four 10-gallon tanks and one 36-gallon tank. I love all API products, but this one's different because I bought it for one thing, and it ended up working for something totally different. The bottle was sealed, and it'll last you for months since you don't need to use much. It's safe for shrimp, fish, and snails too.

Awesome Product
Excellent product .. was delivered in a well packaged form and have been using it on 2 of my small fish tanks and the plants have rapidly been growing well without any apparent harm to the fish. Good product and worth picking this up along with the API quick start . These two products enables me to keep the fish tanks balanced and healthy.

You need to know what it is!
FIRST you need to know this is not a FIX for CO2 in your tank. NO. It however is a very effective algaecide. Algae require CO2 like all plants to Photosynthesise food. By killing algae you are basically making more CO2 available for your plants. Also if you keep any sort of algae grazers, like Ottos or even shrimp, this could reduce the food available to them. This is a very potent chemical - so use sparingly and as last resort as algae control.

Works great
It works and helps my plants stay fresh and green. It had no effect on my fishes. It is better to buy a bigger bottle as it’s cheaper than the small ones and it’s better if you have a big fish tank like I do plus it’s easy to use. Great quality would recommend.
