Update: I added two pics of my dough all nestled in these bannetons ready to go in the fridge for an overnight cold proof. I also added a pic of the baked loaves - they are the plain ones on the left. The berry loaf I didn’t cold proof in these because I didn’t want to stain them with berry juice. These bannetons dry the exterior of my dough just enough to get that perfect crisp exterior when they are baked. It’s also quite easy to get a nice crisp expansion score and pretty decorative scoring because the exterior is set nicely. I forgot to take a photo of my dough proofing in the Kneadace cotton rope bannetons - but the baked results speak for themselves. I prefer to bake my bread in double loaf pans (bread in one and a second inverted on top as a lid) because the bread shape is easier to slice and eat. These cotton rope bannetons work perfectly. My dough was in the fridge in these overnight for a cold proof. When I took them out they were slightly risen, but not over the top like my recycled pulp bannetons. Taking my dough out of these to score also went great. No sticking and no weird marks or patterns. The outer layer was slightly dried so it was easy to score. The dough also held its shape so well. I had forgotten to preheat my Dutch oven for my 3rd loaf that day and it suffered because I got impatient. So all 3 of these loaves had to sit on the counter for 20 min or so while I preheated my Dutch oven a bit. I wish these came in a small size to use for mini loaf pans! Occasionally I will split my dough recipe into 2 or 3 parts to make 2-3 different flavors without ending up with way too much bread. These work fine but the smaller dough ball tends to get a wee bit too long overnight so I have to tuck it in the mini loaf pans a bit. These are also quite easy to store! I have a wall hook in my pantry and I can just loop the end bit on these on the hook and they are up and out of the way.

ordered these after seeing a fav you tuber of mine Aisha Ba based in South Korea using them, these baskets are AMAZING!!! I have struggled with my sourdough in normal bannetons, not holding shape and exploding x3 during the cold fermenting process but these baskets didnt do that, the dough was perfect and I had to order more. The quality is next level amazing - i have thrown out all my original proofing bannetons. Waiting longer for shipping from the US is a sacrifice worth making! THESE ARE THE BEST!!!!!!

I used this set to proof two sourdough loaves, and it exceeded every expectation. There are two rope baskets, linen liners and linen covers all included in the package. The linen cover accessory is a very nice touch and looks good too! I was initially unsure about the stability of the woven cotton‑rope baskets — I worried they might be too flexible to support a shaped dough during a long cold proof. Once I used them, that concern disappeared. The baskets are surprisingly firm, stable, sturdy and well‑made, exactly what you want when transferring a shaped loaf into the fridge. The 100% linen liners were wonderful to work with. After a light flouring, the dough released cleanly with no sticking at all. I also appreciated the included cotton basket covers accessories. To test them, I proofed one loaf in a plastic bag and the other using the provided cover. The dough rose right up to the cover, but it didn’t hinder the rise or disturb the surface. The covered loaf didn’t dry out either — just be sure to flour the cover as well. Both loaves rose beautifully and baked perfectly. This set is thoughtfully designed, easy to use, and genuinely reliable for cold‑proofing sourdough. The baskets are pretty and very sturdy, more than I could have imagined. They fold up for storage or are nice enough to display in the kitchen.
