Spotty Signal if using Verizon, but a great phone overall
I've seen many reviews on this phone before I decided to buy it. I even knew about the spotty service for Verizon.I've had this phone for about 3 weeks and it's a great phone. When I'm gaming on certain games the back still stays pretty cool (at the time of writing its during the summer and its hot). The fan does help when you want the proccessor to stay cool. The OS is not bad, I had an S21 Ultra before switching to this and I had to relearn somethings. Both are android but the redmagic acts similar to an iphone's OS. You can of course change it in the settings to be similar to the s21u.Pros:Unlocked works with Verizon even though some say its not.Preinstalled screen protectorExcellent battery life 80% can last up to a whole day of mixed usage, ie gaming, insta, using the browser, or watching videos. If you are using with not much gaming it can last up to 2 daysScreen is pretty good, the samsung is brighter in lower levels but at max is just as bright. Color accuracy is also very good, almost identical to the s21u. Also has 144hz but resolution is lower than the s21u but I don't mind. If you care about the screen get the amoled version of the redmagic.Cons:Spotty signal with Verizon. I read that the best carrier for this phone is Tmobile but my family is on a Verizon plan so I don't intend to switch. I had to enable developer mode to keep the mobile data on and so far I haven't had any issues.Everything is google, ie phone for calling, messages, and gallery for photos. You can probably download other apps but I don't want to especially since a lot of third party app will have ads.Speakers are really low on default. Ringtones, alarms, notifications are pretty low volume despite having it on max volume.Using the default DTS app was able to make the volume for entertainment louder but not the ringtones or notis from what I've experienced.

It's good.
I broke my old phone so it forced me to get this at full price of 750 - I wish I got it at the 600 it goes for some times but I still think this phone is worth it at 750. If you can be patient though wait for a deal. The fact that it comes with a phone case in the box AND a 80w charger is great value not to mention every single top tier spec - the base model comes with 12 gb ram which I think is plenty so not worth upgrading to the 16 or 24 gb of ram but guess what... as long as you leave at least 12 gb of storage available in memory the phone can use 12 gb of space from that 256 gb to act as an additional 12 gb of ram to total 24 in the base model... IDK What the heck I'd even use all that ram for. I don't really game on mobile but I do play some OSRS (Old school runescape) occasionally and this phone runs it flawlessly. Battery is amazing... It feels like double my old phone and the FULL screen from edge to edge with no cut corners, no curved screen, no hole punch or notch, super bright and crisp high res with high fps makes this phone feel so fluid...Literally the best phone on the market is all I can say - checks every single spec box - if you don't care about having the best cameras on market, or samsung/apple software this is absolutely the hands down best there is :)... I do wish a good brand would make a phone case though for this... just really lame looking "gamer" phone cases that don't offer the protection you'd really want. Oh well.

Everything about it is amazing.
2nd UPDATE on 8/7/2024:Somebody asked if the Redmagic 9S Pro was compatible for Bend Oregon? To begin with, I have a 8S pro, the model before. I have not heard of ANY incompatibility issues. I have T-mobile and it works perfectly. It has a double sim tray and I could have 2 phone numbers on it if I wanted. I still don't game, but I use it extensively to watch videos and run my Powerpoint presentations (in Google Slides). Everything runs perfectly, and extremely fast, never a gliche. I know my phone is over-powered for what I do, but it's like owning a Lamborghini to run everyday errands. And the battery is the best thing. I still charge my phone every 3 days, and I use it a lot. I also use my standard 3.5mm phone jack a lot too and would have gotten it for that one thing. The antenna is great, never a gliche using google maps. It is just an awesome phone. I worried that it's 6.8" size might be too big, but with a slim case, the thin phone fits easily in the front pockets of my jeans. I assume the 9S pro is the same or better.UPDATE ON 3/24/2024:This phone is amazing for what I need. Most amazing is the 6 amp hour battery that never seems to run out. I used to charge my old phone every day, sometimes twice a day. I charge the new redmagic phone every 3 days (still at 20%), and it only takes 18 minutes to fully charge! That one thing alone makes it worth the money. It is extremely fast for video & powerpoint files, and the usb3.2 jack allows me to connect to my PC and easily and quickly move big files back and forth. You don't need to play games to make good use of an extremely powerful phone.INITIAL REVIEW:First I'm not a gamer, but I need a powerful phone with big screen, USB3.0 or better data transfer and most of all, a 3.5mm headphone jack! This has it all. It has an awesome big screen with graphics subprocessor system that makes it extremely fast, which wasn't absolutely necessary, but it plays my powerpoint files breathtakingly fast. The USB 3.2 connector connects easily to my PC because it is important for me to transfer large data files to and from the phone. It works great. It has 12GB ram and 256GB rom, the minimum for this phone. That is more than I need but you can upgrade to much more memory and storage. I use the 3.5mm headphone jack nearly every day to play music and videos, and absolutely would not have a phone without one. The BATTERY is a monster. It has two 3,000 mah batters totaling 6,000 mah. What that means is the way I use it, I only have to charge it every 3 days! And after I run it down below 20%, it recharges all the way to full in about 15 minutes. Amazing. I had heard that the camera wasn't the best, but it is plenty good for me. It has Sony lenses and takes great photos and videos, in high resolution if you want, and even has a pro mode for mini picture adjustments that I will never do. And it costs literally half what a flagship samsung or iphone cost, half. I cannot comment on games which this phone was designed for, because I don't play games. The simple cheap case I bought for it looks sleek and great. The only possible negative is that it's heavy, because of the huge battery that lasts forever. SUMMARIZING: this is one awesome phone that any older non-gamer will be thrilled to own. BTW, I am a simple consumer, I don't work in the tech field.
