Japanese White Rice Cake Daifuku Mochi 8 Pcs

The mochi was fresh and the filling was flavorful and sweet but not too sweet. Truly the best candy. I would buy again.

It's great. I love them. However it's not good item to include in the subscribe and save. Since subscribe and save items are shipped in a large box with other items, with all the bouncing and squishing each other, mochi was greatly damaged in the package. Still tasted fine but I've removed it from my subscription. If the package has thin film over the tray inside the outer package, they might stay within the each compartment.

Mochi is usually “as soft as an earlobe” but the package I received was firm and somewhat tough. I have been eating all types of mochi all my life and this daifuku mochi was definitely not fresh or was of poor quality. In addition, several pieces were squished, with the red bean filling exposed like they had been cut open. Mochi was shipped with a total of 6 other items, none of which were squished or broken and the BOX was not damaged, so this mochi must have been in this shape BEFORE it was shipped. Good daifuku mochi should not be so thin that the filling bursts out and they should have a soft, tender chewiness.

OMGGGG!!! This MOCHI was PERFECT!!! I grew up eating mochi (I'm Korean/Caucasian) and it was one of my favorite things. The sweet red bean inside and the chewy outside is the best. This brand reminded me of my childhood and just growing up!!! I hadn't had any mochi for many years .. I decided to order some on here since the closet Asian market doesn't really have that great of stuff. And definitely doesn't carry Mochi. I definitely recommend trying these. They was actually perfectly shaped, none squished. Not too much corn starch on the outside. But not too sticky either. Was perfect! And like I said .. reminded me of my childhood and how much I missed it! I will definitely will be ordering again!!! They came packed with a frozen bottle (cold pack) so product stayed cold. Try them!!!

Best mochi I’ve had been able to buy outside of Japan. This is made in Japan so the quality standard is way higher on these compare to ones made here. Only wish it was a bit cheaper.
