GREAT FUNCTIONALITY! GREAT COST
I am really impressed with this little guy! It is super easy to use! It is easy to take apart for installing the M.2 2230 NVMe SSD. They provide the correct screwdriver for this. The silicone fitting for the actual device serves to its use as a portable device. I do wish it was capable of high transfer speeds, but at this price, it is PLENTY fast! I mean, I am whining because it is not USB 4 or 5, and if it were capable of this then the price would be WAY more than this. What you get for your money is of great value!I was also impress that at this price, they were able to include a fan. I like how the cable is built into the product as a strap. It is sturdy and has not come undone from the casing. That being said, I am paranoid and value my data so I always carry this inside a bag. It is not very thick at all once you consider that it has a fan as well. The transfer speed I experience tended to run between 770Mbps to 940Mbps write speeds! That is fast for 3.2 USB. With those speeds and how the cable is built into the functionality of the strap, I am very impressed with the design and function of this device. It word with my iPhone 15, my iPad, my MacBook, and my Windows PC (it all depends on how you format the drive).I can EASILY recommend this product for anyone with an iPhone 15 or later, iPad or computer with USB-C. It JUST WORKS.

Unique NVMe enclosure, usable like a flash drive, with built in fan
This is a unique military-look enclosure for a 2230 NVMe drive, with a switched fan and carrying bumper/keyfob. It's unique among almost all of the NVMe enclosures I have in that it's got a male USB-C plug on it. You can plug it right into your computer, phone, or other device without a connecting cable. It comes with a male-to-female short extension in case it's needed to reach your port, but I tested it directly plugged into my Macbook Pro M2 Pro.With a fairly randomly selected Kioxia 256GB NVMe drive (used) I got about 950MByte/sec read and write with the 5GB Blackmagic speed test on the aforementioned Macbook Pro. This is in line with what you'd expect from a 10 gigabit interface, and is comparable to other enclosures I've tested. The fan seems pretty noisy for what it does, but smaller fans tend to be that way. Also, I'm beginning to see a pattern with NVMe enclosures in that this one comes with two kinds of screw, and small screwdrivers for both. The drive screw uses a standard slotted screwdriver, and the single screw holding the cover on is a star/torx type. I really wish they'd stick to one, preferably a phillips, but it's a minor gripe.Generally it meets expectations, and being able to use it without a cable is a plus. When I ordered, it was listed at $33, which seems like a fair price.

Great little self-contained unit
I got this for my Steam Deck as I have wanted to include more space than my internal drive and SD card, but one that can be connected and removed as desired. I installed a 2TB NVME into this enclosure when it arrived and hooked it up to my Deck and it started working right away. The transfer speeds are fast enough over the USB C port that there is no difference in performance compared to games loaded on the other more "native" drives. The included keychain loop which doubles as a USB C extender is a cool design and is a nice addition to the standard connector that can also be used. In fact, its so good just as an enclosure that I forgot it had the fan for a couple of weeks. Its easy enough to turn on with a little switch and has a pretty fast little fan in there spinning to cool down the drive inside. I think I have seen some minor performance bumps with this being on, but its too early to tell.

What a hunkajunk
I bought this because of the stellar reviews, not only does this thing not meet the speed (as stated), but it gets super hot when running. I took it apart and saw the fan the size of my fingernail. I bought a 40gbps enclosure with a normal fan and it runs beautifully. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Be careful.
I loved this for a week but at some point it stopped working. It's doesn't power on, the drive doesn't show up. I think the USB c part has been damaged when I dropped my keys. I tried contacting customer service but have not received any response. No customer support at all..

Inadequate QC; USB-C connector is clearly installed lopsided.
As soon as it was opened it was obvious that the USB-C connector was not installed properly. It is clearly visibly tilted even before removing the circuit board, and it becomes even more obvious when looking at the exposed board. Clearly some insufficiencies in the assembly and inspection process. Not a good start for a not-inexpensive enclosure. The fan also only has standoffs on three of the corners, as the circuit board has components underneath where the final one would be. Probably ok, but again not ideal.
