Frying at too high a temo will damage the nonstick surface. good buy

Nice wok. Not particularly fond of nonstick for a number of reasons the chief among them being you must cook at lower temperatures or risk damaging the nonstick surface. On the surface you would think that defeats the purpose of a wok for stir frying but this wol is great for people who lie the idea of stir frying but want to avoid the hassle of maintaining the wok for fear of rust. If that's not a fear if yours go with a non nonstick wok. If ease of use with little hassle is you then this wik is probably a good match. But be warned this wok is huge. I was surprised at how big it is. Great though for cooking large quantities. The only prep required is attaching the handle and lid top. That's it. Eazy peazy and you're all set. I would buy again and will ad gifts most likely. Just keep in mind if you use it at too high a temperature you may loose the flatness of the bottom.

NOT A CARBON STEEL SURFACE

This item is not as advertised. The outside of the pan is covered with black paint, and the inside is scratching and chipping like an ordinary teflon-type non-stick coating. I have two other actual carbon steel pans and this one clearly is not the same thing.

Good size pan

Great size pan. Been looking for one for a while. However....the coating is coming off the bottom after 2 uses!!! Don't waste your money
