Small But Mighty!
I've been wanting a camera that is geared towards action adventures not because I do crazy adventure type stuff LOL but because my boyfriend and I take some amazing hikes and my cell phone just doesn't cut it when it comes to getting some good "action" snapshots (too shaky, etc.). So when I saw this I knew I had to grab it!I love that it's waterproof too because we'll be doing some kayaking this summer and I want it for that. Plus I want to try paddle boarding so it'll be fun to have this camera to take with me when I try that! I tested the waterproofness (guess that's what you call it) of this by turning the shower on and taking a few minute video with the camera in the shower. While it did get water droplets on the lens and that showed in the video, it was still pretty impressive with the quality of video it took in water! (I don't know if there's something else I need to use with this so the water droplets don't get all over the lens and show in the video the way they did - just one more thing I need to learn!).I love how small and compact it is - makes it super easy to travel with. I love that it has a flip screen (and it's touchscreen as well).I feel like is too much of a camera for me... right now. And what I mean by that is I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to cameras and this thing may be small but it's mighty and has a whole lot of options to what it can do. But even though I feel like it's a bit too much (I just need to spend some more time playing with it and Googling/YouTubing for some tutorials) I am really happy with it and would recommend!Overall this is a great camera for your adventures! I give it two thumbs up and highly recommend it.

Great camera, very nice interface
I'll start by mentioning that my point of view is that of someone upgrading from a very old action camera, the original GoPro Session. I was frankly blown away by how far these little things have come in that amount of time. I understand this is a higher-end camera than the session, but nonetheless I am pretty impressed with this camera. The image quality is great, especially in low light using some of the features specifically built for that use. The interface is intuitive and makes it easy to navigate a pretty hefty set of features and adjustments. The battery seemed like it was draining rather quickly at first (compared to my expectations), but then I realized the stock display brightness is set to maximum. Once I lowered that (an easy adjustment), the consumption dropped more in line with my expectations. The physical buttons feel high-quality and give me confidence that they'll continue to work even through the abuse that an action camera is expected to endure. The flip-up display is a nice touch and operates smoothly. The video and photo quality is very nice for something this compact. The stabilization seems to work very well even at less-than-maximum strength. The ability to take 48 megapixel shots is pretty cool as well!I'm glad this uses the same kind of mount as all my GoPro gear and I can continue to use all the accessories I've accrued over time. In a world of proprietary "walled garden" tech ecosystems, this is nice to see.

Good Quality Action Camera... at the right price!!
No need to spend lots of money on a action camera.. this one is price perfectly.. What I like the most about it.. The flip-up screen to see yourself filming. The touch screen is quick and has all the features at your fingertips. and if you cant reach the camera because you are far away use the AI Gesture Controls I love this!!!...You can also use Voice controls and the magnetic mount works great... Battery last a long time because screen dim/turn off after a short while while it captures video....

Versatile camera
The Insta360 Ace (standard) been pretty handy for documenting some of my outings. I took it along on a hike last weekend, and the video came out really smooth despite some of the rocky trails. The flip screen is useful when I want to get myself in the shot, making it easy to see what I'm recording. Transferring the videos to my phone through the app was also straightforward, and it even suggested some highlight clips which saved me a bit of editing time. The magnetic mount is a nice touch; it makes attaching and detaching the camera from my backpack strap quick and easy. It's also compatible with GoPro accessories I have. I haven't had a chance to test the underwater capabilities yet, but it feels robust enough to handle some splashes. For capturing my adventures without too much fuss, this camera seems to do the job quite well.

2 Cameras Dead on Arrival and it NEEDS an app to work.
YOU NEED THE APP. This is not mentioned on this page, but an app is needed to send information back to China. You can not activate it without it. Also, sadly, the first unit I got is DoA; the battery will not charge. I could not get it to turn on even after hours of charging and using different cables, including the stock one. I have requested a new one because I want this camera to work as I like its features, but it's not a good start at all. I had some connection problems as well with this, but I am not sure if they are related to the battery, so I don't want to speak too soon on that. I hope I can update my review later when the new one comes in and talk about how awesome it is.UPDATE: 2nd camera came in and same exact thing the battery will not charge. I was going to order some aftermarket batteries but then noticed DJI is having a sale on the Action 4 so instead of letting this company keep my money for putting out a product with a know issue I am just going to try the DJI for 10 dollars more which makes it less than this camera and aftermarket batteries to make it work. Very poor first impression of Insta360.

Nice little cam
I don't have a gopro to compare it to, but this is a great little camera. It has the advantage of size and cost. I have seen a lot of these types of cameras destroyed during use, and with the expensive ones it is crushing... but this one does a good job, and is affordable enough to torture without too much worry. The picture quality is good, and the controls are pretty easy too.
