Unboxed the Hoover Hard Floor Cleaner today and did some much needed cleaning. We are an elderly couple with mobility issues and purchased this floor cleaner in hopes that it would make it possible for us to avoid having to hire somebody to clean for us. We bought the corded cleaner thinking it would be less taxing to push it around. We found it light enough and easy to push. We loved not having to deal with buckets of water or wringing out mops. Our large great room required us to empty the reservoir several times to clean the large area but we found the size of the reservoir manageable and easy to empty. The floors were wet but there were no puddles of standing water which was important for our engineered hardwood floors. The floors dried in an appropriate amount of time. The cord was long enough so that we only had to move outlets a couple of times. Our problem of dried grass being tracked in by our dog was easily vacuumed up to our delight. We did not find the motor to be too loud but it is our habit to wear noise cancelling headphones so it was not an issue for us. Every bit of water was sucked up we did not have a problem with water leaking from the roller head being left behind. Any water was vacuumed up. We found the suction power adequate. This floor cleaner is far better than any other method of mopping. It seems well made, we are hoping this thing holds up over time. I never want to go back to using a mop ever again.

TLDR; I can't honestly recommend this mop vac. I bought in to the functionality and ease of use advertised and the first year was good. However self-cleaning does not work as intended. The roll after a self-clean was still very dirty and would only continue to spread dirt around each time I mopped and there is no easy way to clean the roll without just replacing it. So, I tried to clean the rolls by hand with some little soap, water, and a microfiber cloth. The mop fabric covering the roll came off and was made unusable. Also, the design is terrible. If you have a dog that sheds, or long hair be prepared to thoroughly clean this vacuum every single time you use it, or the power of the suction is significantly reduced. The brush head won't spin, and it will simply push things around without cleaning. If you are single, without pets, and your house is not lived in this is the vacuum for you. I only gave it two stars because my floors did look nice after the first few mops.

I love this wet vac. Although it has low ratings I already new someone who had it and was not disappointed by getting it. Works great. Floor concentrated cleaning solution is cheap and smells great. Lasts longer than other brands and have had zero issues

Let me start by saying power is not an issue because I bought the corded model. Worked the first time straight out of the box. Every attempt since it has not. The machine has 8 streams that are supposed to wet the microfiber cleaning roller which spins against the floor. Dirty water is sucked into the tank. When using it after the first time, the roller is wet ONLY where the water jets dispense against the roller, leaving wet lines where the roller turns against the floor. The roller is NOT getting wet enough to clean the floor. I removed the roller and squeezed the trigger to watch the jets, only 4 were working and at a trickle, leaving a track of wet lines (see attached pic). Amazon will not refund me, so I called Hoover having done the warranty registration after I rec'd it. It took 3 days for Hoover to return my call. Customer service rep was great-I had my pics and videos to show a malfunctioning machine. They shipped a replacement after I proved I destroyed the old machine. The new machine performs the same - wet lines, dry roller, floors are not getting clean. I am out over $200. One more thing of note - the "boost" feature is the roller spinning faster. It doesn't press or rub the floor any harder so I still have to manually clean any stubborn spots. I had high hopes and twice am left disappointed. I just want my $ back.
