Used to be good value.
Excellent product and was good value when I bought it. Now, however, as with all RAM and SSD products, the price is crazy. If you can afford it, this is a good option. Fast and reliable.

Good quality SSD
Bought to replace a suspected faulty Samsung SSD and works perfectly. I am an engineer and found after testing the old SSD that the fault was caused a corrupt PC BIOS - the machine powered up and shutdown immediately - weird fault not encounterd before!

Great Price for great performance

Speeds are excellent
All as described. Speeds are excellent and the drive performs very well. Only marked down one star because it does not include a retaining screw or thermal pad. The drive runs cooler than many Gen4 NVMe drives, but additional cooling is still beneficial in high-performance systems.

Fantastic SSD
Glad I bought this before the recent price gouging for SSD's - almost doubled in price for some brands! It is worthwhile noting the free WD cloning tool (link on WD web site) is an essential tool. The drive is fast and I've had no issues replacing an older SSD in a laptop

Blazing Fast Boot Drive – Reliable and Issue-Free
I picked up the WD_BLACK SN7100 1TB NVMe SSD to use as a boot drive, and it’s been excellent so far. Installation was straightforward, and since then it has run flawlessly no issues at all.The speed is outstanding: with read speeds up to 7,250 MB/s and write speeds up to 6,900 MB/s, everything from startup to loading applications feels instant. It’s a huge upgrade compared to older drives I’ve used. The Next Gen TLC 3D NAND and WD_BLACK Dashboard support give extra confidence in both performance and reliability.I’ve tested it across everyday tasks and gaming, and it’s consistently fast and responsive. For laptops or handheld gaming devices, this SSD is a perfect fit if you want top-tier performance in a compact form factor.Overall, I’m very happy with it super fast, reliable, and ideal as a boot drive.
