I bought this to go with my Breville Express. I was not getting the even tamping that I needed. This does the trick. It’s heavy duty and has the pressure you need without any effort from you. The size is substantial but not too large. I keep it stored on top of my machine. It wipes clean with a dry cloth and absolutely does the trick. I would recommend this tamper and would definitely buy it again. Definitely takes the guesswork out of my morning espresso

I replaced my old tamper with this & really like it, particularly the little lip that rests on the edge of the portafilter, giving you leverage when you press. You really see that thevpuck is well pressed. It's nice and level as opposed to previously. This together with my ne Icape gravity distributor gave me twice the crema that I had been getting

Good tamper overall much consistent than a manual tamper but ikape needs to address their quality controlMy unit had a very rough shaft and was getting caught in the middle while tamping on coffee leaving metal shavings.I will be sending the defective unit for return and getting a new one hoping it's not the same issue again (, will update this review ! )Great tamper but quality is a a small concern while.purchasing so be active enough to check if the shaft is smoothA diy solution to this is using steal wool or sanding the metal shaft sides slightly as per other reviews suggestions but I think that's not a good idea as you might make the tamp off centered and rattly since it won't be a snug fit

The tamper that came with my Breville espresso machine was plastic and difficult to keep straight. This tamper works great. Gets even pressure.

Great preloaded tamper, it has a consistent tamping pressure. My machine keeps the same extraction pressure thanks to this tamper.

I ordered this to try and improve my coffee and try and get consistent tampering..The simply fact is, it easily jams on the push down which then means there is no spring compression and no consistency.

It’s a beauty! Just wish they had them at 51.5 mm!
