A quality knife from Germany at a fraction of the price of a Japanese chefs knife. For the average cook, this is more than adequate. Sliced tomatoes wafer thin. Definitely good value.

easy to use Chinese style cleaver

This comes with a label saying its made in China, and for veggies only. Not the German made meat chopping knife as advertised. Returning.

I bought this as a test, actually, and had never used one before. The wide blade tends to drag a bit on thick things like a whole head of cabbage, but it is incredibly sharp. I was a bit disappointed that it not made in the Four Star nor Four Star II lines, which would match the ones I already have, but I'm just being picky there. I might add another star once I get more experience with it. It's hard to go wrong with Zwilling cutlery and any problems with it, are more related to me, than to this cleaver.

I had this cleaver in my cart for 6 mos and finally purchased it. I cannot say enough about the quality and craftsmanship This thing is razor sharp and handles any task I throw at it easily

Description of this product on Amazon is not adequate. Once I received the product, I had realized the blade was v dull. There is a label inside the box (see my uploaded image) that says the knife is for chopping vegetables and not meat. Description on website does not hint the above at all. Honestly, who would need to buy a high end, bulky, cleaver for merely chopping veggies? Carrots? I wanted the knife for minzing meat, not chopping bones. Yet, this item is too dull for the tasks. Had to return this useless knife.
