The appearance of the floor remains unchanged, but the texture feels like a coating of clear sand embedded in the surface. Definitely slip proof, but not uncomfortable to bare feet. We treated a slick vinyl floor in a bathroom. One thorough coating was enough to do the job, but it is somewhat difficult to tell if you've missed any spots. After it dried, I went back and ran my bare hand over the floor to find a few small spots that still felt smooth. A couple of quick sprays later, all was covered evenly. It is very smelly, so wear a mask and vent well. Dries as promised on the label. No more slips, and rugs stay put, too!

I purchased this item to be used on my wooden staircase in my home. They were previously very slippery and had been a few falls and injuries, especially when just wearing socks. After spraying this on the stairs, it definately has made them non-slip. They have a fine grit-like feel afterwards, but is clear finish. Does not take away from the beauty of a wooden staircase. My only concern is how fast it wears off. After just a few weeks we noticed they weren't as gritty as when we first applied. I since sprayed additional coats. It seems to still be wearing off quickly. I would recommend this product, but hope the cost could be less, as I feel I will need to keep ordering additional cans to keep reapplying.

The product is good, but if it is not applied correctly, it won't work very well. Also, I bought already about 5 or 6 cans of this product since our dog just had amputation surgery and it's hard for him to walk on our wooden floor. It is slippery. For some reason it works better when the can is new. After a few minutes the slip-resistant texture doesn't work that well. If you want to cover a big area, you have to apply it slowly doing an steady movement and with a distance from the floor of about 6 inches. If you get more distance it won't work at all. The downside is that it gives a shinny look but it's hard to get it even on the floor, so from an angle you can tell how the product was applied. I've read that the other products from this manufacturer that come in gallons are better, but also they give a very rough texture to the floor. I'd say this product works better in small areas. It dries fast but make sure you clean the floor first or apply a grease remover to make sure the adhesive works well.

We nearly broke our backs on our new bathroom floor as it was so slick. I hesitated to put this on a brand-new floor, but something needed to be done. You can see a little of the coating in the right light, but I am happy with the results, we now have some grip on the floor. Make sure you can vent the area during application as it has potent fumes.

The product seems pretty nice. It dries to a textured clear coating. The reason for the 1 star is because after 2 sprays, the spraying mechanism stopped working. The can is still full but it won’t spray. We tried soaking the spraying mechanism in acetone but it didn’t work.

It worked great!! I put down Peel and Stick vinyl in my bathroom. The vinyl looked amazing but it was slippery as if walking on ice! After receiving this product, I lightly sprayed it on the vinyl floor. I can now walk in the bathroom without my feet slipping out from under me. Without this, my beautiful floor would have to be covered with rugs.
