Providence Spillproof Inner Lip Plate - 9" White

I purchased this item for my daughter-in-law who is suffering from dementia. I'm told it really works well so I have ordered more for their home and some to have on hand at my home when they come to visit. I just wish there were more color choices on Amazon to break up the monotony for her. I had to shop at another store to get two plates in red.

I bought one of these plates for my father who has Parkinson’s disease. When it came I wasn’t sure it would work because the design is simple and the plate looks very much like any other deep plate or shallow bowl (actually good things). It really helps my Dad eat without spilling which makes him happy (a really good thing). My Mom and the aides who help them have all noticed how much easier it is him for to eat. I got 3 more plates. He originally used them for dinner entrees and vegetables but they have also replaced his cereal bowls. This simple plate can help patients maintain some independence. Thanks

This review was written by my husband:This plate has been a tremendous help to my Parkinson's-afflicted wife. It has made eating much easier for her. The inner lip and the near vertical wall just below the lip cause bites of food to drop onto her spoon or fork instead of being pushed entirely out of the plate as can happen with conventional tableware. The conventional appearance of the plate (it doesn't look like something for the disabled) adds to the ability of my wife to eat her meals with dignity. A potentially helpful observation is that eating is easier for my wife with a tablespoon or soup spoon instead of a teaspoon whether or not this plate is used.

Although, he is still able to push the food over the edges which is why I give it 4 stars. He uses these along with a curved eating spork for his Parkinson's.

Underrated product , I’m in love, the edge of the plate makes it so much easier to not spill or let things slide off the plate. It’s a lot like a bowl and a plate combined.i use Plastic dishes in my house because loud sounds scare meThese have the non skid bottom ring tooGot one for myself and for my dogs because they eat fresh food that can be messy and the plates I was using them before were loud and heavy and food always fall off.They r also great for eating chips and other snacks without sliding off the plate because chip bags make noise that I don’t like so I always have to pour them out

Bought for our small dogs. It doesn't slide across the floor. And the food stays in the dish.

Works exactly as described. Prevents embarrassment from spilling food onto table or floor. Great product 👌!

This is as advertised. My husband in newly blind, and the plate stays put due to the bottom of the plate having a rubber ring so it won't slide around. The edge of the plate has a lip so food stays inside. Dishwasher safe. I just wish they made bigger plates and bowls as well,

These work great! They grip the table and the lip on the edge helps keep small foodstuffs (peas/corn niblets) from going over the edge. Not overly large but holds an average size meal. Dishwasher safe.
