ESV Single Column Journaling Bible (TruTone, Chestnut, Leaves Design)

Bible Journaling is a game changer in my personal walk with God! I am addicted to finding and recording my own cross-references, margin notes, excerpts from trusted commentaries and more throughout this Bible format. As such, my memory has been exercised and I’m far more able to find particular references when I need them. The act of writing something out, or “decorating” text with a box or colored pencils is now my favorite form of meditating on God’s Word.While this particular Amazon purchase was given as a gift, I’m now about 2.5 years into my personal copy of this product. Hubby and I read through God’s Word cover to cover every year and my copy (a treasure!) now contains my notes/annotations throughout using pen, colored pencils, post-it notes, extra pages glued in, washi tape, stickers, etc. Good news: The cover, binding, and pages are holding up quite well!The product pairs well with:* BIC 4-in-1 pen or similar 6-in-1 products with finer tip* A good set of Colored Pencils (preferred over highlighter pens; no bleed through!)* A generous Bible Cover with pockets for my “go-to” tools* A “Mr. Pen” ballpoint pen for Bibles* A book light (Yes, sometimes the font feels too small … especially before my cataract lens replacement surgery)* Post-It Notes in smaller sizes. I use these to capture the “quick thought” or even questions. These then beg for attention later when I have more time to ponder, organize my thoughts and prepare my long-term response.I do hope you might enjoy the journey of Bible Journaling!

Looks like a book, with wide margins to journal or make notes. Different than regular 2 column format. Nice format and cover has some light designs. A good personal size Bible for daily use and travel.

I purchased this because I was looking for a brown leather-like Bible and there was a crazy good deal on it. After buying it I read reviews and got spooked because of the comments about the small print. I had every intention of returning this upon arrival and to continue looking for "The One". But, when it arrived I fell in love with it! The cover is GORGEOUS, even more stunning in person, the pictures online do not do it justice! Yes, the print is small, especially for my forty year old eyes, but it's honestly not as bad as I thought. And personally, I think the cream colored pages make it easier to read (in my picture the pages look white, they definitely are not). The pages themselves are a decent thickness for a Bible, they are still see through, as with most Bibles, and will likely have bleed through from notes and highlights. But these things are common with most Bibles and are not deal breakers for me. It is a great size to carry around also, not too thick and not too heavy. I highly recommend getting this version!!

Beautiful Bible! This Bible was exactly what I was searching for. Nice quality, room to journal, the pages aren't too crowded, and easy to read.

This is by far the best Bible I have owned. The print is big enough for me (a young adult) to easily read, the cover is soft and easy to clean, and the paper is good quality. Of course, there is some ghosting when I highlight, but that is impossible to avoid. The paper is as thick as possible for a book of this size and I'm pleased with how it stands up to my excessive writing and highlighting.I've owned this Bible for nearly 4 years now and it has stood the test of time quite well. I can't say enough how much I adore this Bible. The cover is beautiful, simplistic, and gender neutral, so it's perfect for everyone!

The book itself is beautiful, and there is plenty of room for notes. However, the print is very small, making it difficult to read for very long without straining the eyes. If you have vision problems, you might want to skip this one for an edition with a more comfortable font size.

Cover: Really nice and well made. The leaf details give the front of the Bible a cute design and some texturePages: Good, a little bit thicker feeling than other Bibles I have had. However, so far I would say writing does leak/ show through. So if that's a really big pet peeve for you then this Bible may not be it. Or you can just get types of pens that may not show through on the other side. Also, I like how the pages are a bit more "yellow" than just bright white pages.Writing: Definitely small! If you need a medium to large fount, I definitely don't recommend this Bible for that purpose. I do like how it is one column. It makes reading the Bible feel more like a novel, which is strangely a plus for me. It's also super nice how all the chapter section headings are all on the same side, so you can easily find something if you need it.Extra: There are no extra maps or even chapter introductions. Just a plain Bible. It does of course have little footnotes. But if you want a Bible with maps and a little more explanation for the chapters and texts, I recommend getting a study Bible instead. (Plus if you are a new believer or new to reading the Bible, I highly recommend a study Bible as they explain soooo much and makes understanding a lot easier).Shipping: Came SUPER fast through Prime. And it came out of the package perfectly. However, I did find it strange that it was literally just the Bible thrown into the package. There was no bubble wrap or extra protection.All in all: Great Bible and great shipping experience! Definetely recommend!
