Seasonic Prime TX-1600 Noctua Edition, Ultra-Quiet Fully Modular 1600W 80 Plus Titanium Efficiency ATX 3.1 PC Power Supply (Black/Brown) with US AC Power Cord

The Seasonic Noctua Edition 1600 Power Supply is the highest quality power supply I have ever touched. The attention to detail, such as the inclusion of a motherboard power cable 90° adapter, fully braided cables right out of the box, and other goodies makes this feel like a premium and complete package. I used to order CableMod cables for all my power supplies, but I don’t feel the need with this one thanks to the included braided cables.One thing to note right off the bat is that this power supply is heavy. If you will be lifting your PC case a lot, it adds heft. I also have this strange issue where there’s an arcing sound from the power supply when turning on my PC at startup, but it only lasts a second and stops. I am awaiting Seasonic’s reply on that, but from what I’ve read, this might be normal when energizing the components for the first boot after being unplugged for a while.Lastly, I think it offers great performance, my system only pulls about 700-800W max with an NVIDIA RTX 5090 founders edition and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D combo. But the extra headroom means I’m staying efficient and have plenty of room for upgrades in the future. Given the bulletproof reputation of this power supply, I plan to keep it for a long time.Oh, and the Noctua fan is quiet. I don’t even hear it.

I recently received the Noctua Edition PSU, and while I haven’t had the chance to put it through its paces just yet, I am impressed by its premium build and the individually sleeved cables. The price is high, but you will feel everything is top-notch from the moment you unbox it. Both manufacturers, Seasonic and Noctua, have a great reputation for quality products, and with a 12-year warranty, you will have peace of mind knowing this PSU is built to last well over a decade.I do have the Seasonic Prime TX-1600 (non ATX 3.0 version) which is powering a high-performance computer with a 4090 GPU, and have not had any problems. I only decided to upgrade because I am starting a new build which will have a 5090, and wanted to comply with the ATX 3.1 standard with a trusted brand.As far as my justification for the price of the PSU:1) Meets 3.1 ATX Standard2) 1600 Watts will cover all your current and future power requirements that you throw at it.3) Titanium certification4) Premium individually sleeved cables (this alone is worth at least $100), but it's brown & black.5) Noctua branding with fan for the "coolness" factor.Once I get everything installed, I’ll update this review with real-world performance feedback. But so far, it’s clear this PSU was worth the premium price for the quality, future-proofing, and peace of mind it offers. Just be sure that your PC Case accommodates the size.

Seasonic has a long history of making the highest quality power supplies. I've been buying this brand for about 20 years now. Teaming up with the best computer fan maker in the world, Noctua, makes this PSU an engineering masterpiece. As described, this is super quiet even if you put the button in standard mode (vs hybrid mode) so I just leave it on standard mode to allow the fan to cool the circuit more for longevity. The Noctua fan draws in air and it exhausts the hot air from the rear near the power cord. I have it mounted upside down in my case because that's where I have a ventilation intake and filter at the bottom of the case. I love that this has the 1600W capacity (for my Threadripper PRO build) and that it has plugs for PCI Gen5. This is almost like a collectible, I bet it will be in high demand and short supply.

I returned Corsairs 1600 watt power supply to get this one. I can throw anything at this, for years and know it will more than handle it. Way to go.

Wow, what an absolute unit of a psu! I'm blown away by the all around build quality throughout. I sadly have yet to put this into service as I'm still waiting for pc parts to come into stock. And thanks to the scalpers that may very well be months before they do. I refuse to pay the blasted scalpers fees! I did however hook this up to a psu tester to make sure it was functional and it checked out solid. I'll be updating here down the road "IF" and when I ever get all my parts. But so far I'm loving it!

Absolutely premium PSU. Dead silent even when the fan is cranking. Premium cables, exceptional build quality and top tier performance. If you can get one - do not hesitate to pull the trigger. Could not be happier with this one. I've built no less than 2 dozen bespoke computers over the last 30 years and this is literally the best PSU I've ever used.

This power supply is great. The performance and efficiency of the PSU is top notch and it’s made by one of the best manufacturers out there. With a 10 year warranty you can’t go wrong. The installation was very easy and fit well in my case with zero issues. The price is a little high but it’s an investment in something that will last you a decade. Highly recommend.
