This toothbrush sanitizer is made of a lightweight plastic that feels about as sturdy as it needs to be. If I were to mistreat it, I’m sure I could break the lid with no problem. Indeed, if you pull on the lid too hard once it’s already opened all the way, it would be very easy to break the plastic hinge. Also, when opening the lid, it can sometimes pinch my fingers at the top if I don’t mind their positioning. I really like the black color of this unit, which matches my décor, so I appreciate that that was available as a color selection.As soon as you open it and then close the lid, sterilization begins. There’s no power button, so even if you aren’t intending to sterilize anything, if you open the lid and close it, it will run its 3-minute sterilization cycle, which isn’t a big deal, since it’s such a short process. After closing it when empty, the only place you can see the blue light is from the opening underneath that a toothbrush handle is meant to stick out from. Otherwise, you can’t see the blue, UV light while it is operating. When it’s running a sterilization cycle, it vibrates ever so slightly, producing a very faint buzzing sound that’s hardly audibly detectable unless you put it up to your ear. Once the cycle is finished, it’s okay to just leave your toothbrush in there if that works for you, which is what I do sometimes.My husband and I have Philips Sonicare 4100 Power toothbrushes with generic brush heads attached, and they fit inside this unit properly despite being larger than a standard toothbrush. The grippers look small, but they expand easily as soon as I press my toothbrush inside, where it is then held securely. The toothbrush is meant to face sideways inside, but I sometimes forget and orient the bristles facing forward, which means the lid doesn’t close all the way, but this still engages to run its cycle, leaving my bristles looking slightly but recoverably smooshed when I later retrieve my toothbrush.Mounting this device was very easy, as it only required simply pressing the sticky side of the magnet to the wall. An extra magnet was included, so you might consider whether you want to be able to alternate this unit between 2 different locations frequently, or you could just set the extra magnet aside in case the first one fails (I don’t see why it would). It’s great that you can simply pull the unit away from the wall-mounted magnet for portability or convenient charging. Note that it can pull off the wall easily, sometimes when you’re not meaning for it to come free. Also, because this attaches magnetically, there’s nothing to fix its orientation, so this thing easily spins when you’re fussing with it, including when you’re putting a toothbrush inside, at least until you get the hang of using it. It’s not really a big deal, but it is something that can happen.A pretty short charge cable is included. It plugs into the unit with its USB-C end, which is convenient and easy to use, and it plugs into a power source with its USB-A end. No wall outlet adapter is included. And it’s cool that this device doesn’t require frequent charging. The instructions are brief but good enough for such a simple product. The translation isn’t anywhere near perfect, but you can understand it all anyway.Overall, I’m pretty happy with this handy little device, and I think only a few minor improvements could be made to deliver something a little bougier.

This holder/cleaner is brilliant. Most people don't realize just how dirty snd gross there toothbrush head is. Even if you replace it every 3 months like it's suggested you still have bacteria growth and things that are not visible to the naked eye. The beauty of this holder/cleaner is that it is a travel case as well, making it easy to take on the go. This unit charges quickly is is ready for use in no time. The cleaning cycle only takes 3 minutes and even has a built in fan to dry the head. This unit is available in a variety of colors and is priced very well, making it a great deal and valuable asset to your overall health. I very highly recommend this toothbrush cleaner.

I have an Oral B electric toothbrush (the one with the circle head) & bought the clear plastic covers that were made for the round head, but they just didn't stay on. They didn't cover the whole thing, they just snapped to the front of the brush... was very disappointed every time they snapped off. Which was every time it touched anything. So I've been looking for ones that cover the entirety of the toothbrush head to ensure that didn't happen, but the ones I had been looking at seems too narrow for the round heads since they were made for the rectangular toothbrush instead... until I found these. There's PLENTY of room inside these clips for any shaped toothbrush head & I really love the butterfly clip action. Definitely recommend 1000%

My electric toothbrush head fits perfectly inside the holder. The only thing is I only can place it in there one way. I light and fan comes on as soon as you close the lid. The fan is quiet.

Update - I have had my toothbrush sterilizer for four months now and I usually use it twice a day. Yesterday it stopped working and the external red light flashes five times when I close the cover. I no longer have any of the original packaging or paperwork and I can't find an online manual so I don't know what the problem is. Regardless, it doesn't seem to be a charging issue and it no longer is functional.Original review - I've been watching for an individual toothbrush cover with UV sterilizer. Most have seemed too big. While the size of this is still a little large, it's not crazy big either. I wouldn't feel like it's taking up too much space to take with me on a trip. I really like that this has the one square edge, so you can stand it up on it's own if you wanted to.This fits my Sonic toothbrush well, both with and without the clear plastic cover that comes with the toothbrush head. Since I don't intend to store my toothbrush in this (sterilizer) between uses, I like the idea that I can also keep the regular cover sterilized too. No point in having a sterile toothbrush that you slip into a germy toothbrush cover!I also tried this with my daughter's Oral B toothbrush that she gets from her dentist. It's the kind that has the silicone gum stimulators along the sides. While that toothbrush fits in the UV cover, the brush head is wide enough that the cover doesn't close all the way like it does with my toothbrush. It probably still does the job, but I choose to lay it down and put something heavier on it to hold the "door" of the cover shut while it goes thru the three minute cycle. So if I was getting a UV cover specifically for that toothbrush, I would probably choose a larger one. However, I will likely be the only one that chooses to use the sterilizer on a regular basis, so it's not really an issue for me.I have no way of testing the effectiveness of this device. I hope it's working. At least I feel peace of mind by using it.
