– FT1 32Ω Large Dynamic Driver Headphones with Solid Wood Cups

It's not often a product lives up to the hype, but that's exactly what the FiiO FT1s do! I was looking for a good, closed-back pair of headphones at a reasonable price, and these have exceeded my expectations in every way. Sound Quality & Performance The sound is simply superb for the money. There's plenty of well-controlled bass that delivers satisfying impact without muddying up the mids, which sound great and full of detail. The treble is smooth and clear, avoiding any harshness or sibilance, which makes for a non-fatiguing, extended listening session. I'm pairing these with a FiiO K7 DAC/Amp, and they sound incredible, offering a sense of detail and clarity that rivals much more expensive models. The soundstage is also impressive for a closed-back design, providing good imaging for both music and gaming. Build Quality & Comfort The build quality is exceptional. The use of real American black walnut wood for the earcups gives them a premium, high-end look and feel that you just don't expect at this price. The headphones feel very well-made and durable. Comfort is top-notch. Despite their solid build, they are relatively lightweight (340g) and the weight is spread very well, allowing for long sessions without any fatigue. The large, over-ear cups with breathable fabric material form a good seal and are very comfortable. Features & Accessories The inclusion of two high-quality, silver-plated oxygen-free copper cables (both 3.5mm unbalanced and 4.4mm balanced terminations are included) and a sturdy carry case is a fantastic bonus and adds significant value. They are also easy to drive, working well with a variety of audio sources like a phone or a dongle DAC. Verdict For anyone looking for a great sounding, comfortable, and well-built pair of closed-back headphones, the FiiO FT1 are a no-brainer. They offer amazing value and genuinely punch well above their weight in performance and aesthetics. Highly recommended!

After watching countless reviewers tell me how great these are, I finally took the plunge, as I was looking for a good, closed back pair of headphones, at a reasonable price. I'm pairing these with a FiiO K7, and they sound incredible. As the reviews have stated, there is plenty of bass on offer here, but presented very cleanly, without muddying up the mids (which sound great), and still managing to create an immersive bass impact. Nothing on the treble side sounds harsh, just all fantastically well-tuned. I think immersive is a good way to describe the sound in general - they really pull me in to my music in a way I've not experienced for some time). I'm using these for music and gaming (they excel at gaming too, great imaging with a soundstage that works well if you're into FPS games). Comfort is top notch, I can wear these for long sessions without any fatigue. They are heavier than Sennheiser's (if that's what you're used to), but they spread the weight very well. Build quality and durability will become evident over time, but initial impressions are good, as they are nicely put together with a premium (ish) feel. At this price point, these are a no brainer for anybody looking for a great sounding, comfortable and well built pair of headphones. Clamp force is very light when compared to many Sennheiser and Beyerdynamic headphones. I'm actually preferring these to my DT 900 Pro X's for both sound quality and comfort. I am incredibly impressed with the FT1's. Having watched all of the YouTube praise I thought I would try them for myself. The packaging, carry case and accessories (2x cables, adaptor etc) are all high quality. I also have a pair of B&O HX's (roughly £450ish) and the quality of the FT1 case is at least on par. I read a review which mentioned it was tricky to know which cable to attach to which side but looks like FiiO listened as there is now clear L & R on the cable ends as well as inside the ear cups. Being wood, I expected the headphones to be heavy but they are surprisingly light. Not flimsy... just very well made and comfortable. The band adjustment is a little stiff and I am worried that the metal adjuster will mark the leather headband but so far it hasn't/ Sound quality is really subjective, but to my ears they sound great. Again comparing to my HX's, the FT1's sound better but appreciate it isn't really fair to compare Bluetooth noise cancelling headphones to wired close backs. When they first arrived I connected to my phone using a cheap ugreen 3.5mm to lightening dongle and tried a couple of streaming services. They sounded best with Apple Music but PRIME Music was also impressive. Spotify even sounded good although I hear their streaming rate is low. I now have them connected to my computer via a Fosi Audio K5 Pro DAC amp and the sound quality took another step up. A fantastic sounding system for less than £200. Overall, I thoroughly recommend these headphones. For the price you can't go wrong.

Absolutely wonderful pair of headphones, comfortable with nice cushions, they look great (which i was worried about because a lot of headphones really dont) and sound incredible. They're a little bass focussed which isnt necessarily my thing but it may be for some, i was able to tone it down a little with third party software, where they really shine is the amount of detail and texture in the highs, and their great frequency response as a whole, i dont think ive heard this level of details with headphones in a long time if ever, and the imaging is great. Cable feels great too, Would recommend!

Melhor qualidade sonora que já ouvi. Valeu cada centavo. Dizem que o "noise canceling" não é bom, mas não notei absolutamente nada que prejudicasse a imersão, que é total. Definitivamente o fone da minha vida (e ja tive Sennheiser e Audio Technica).

My entrance into better audio came in the form of a pair of Sennheiser HD 558s I bought back in 2011. The difference between those 558s, and everything I had used previously was night and day. Music now had a wide sound stage; you could hear a pin drop in the room where whatever music I was listening to was recorded. Those headphones literally travelled the world with me. I took them with me through the Sahara, and they worked perfectly. Then came the time to upgrade them. I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 600s. The difference between the 558s and 600s was negligible. Slightly wider sound stage, but not much of a difference. I wanted a pair of headphones with more bass, not Beats-style muffled sound, because the bass is too intense, but something with more boom. I bought these FiiO FT1s after watching various videos on YouTube that promised good but not overpowering bass. Well, that is exactly what the FT1s deliver. From George Michael's Careless Whisper, to Katy Perry's "Dark Horse", I've been testing out the FT1s. Led Zeppelin Kashmir, and even some Celine Dion. Everything sounds great. The bass is present, but does not overpower the highs and the mids. The vocals are clear, the soundstage isn't nearly as open as it is on my Sennheiser's, but it is still surprisingly wide. If you're looking to dip your toes in better audio, the FT1s are probably the pair of Headphones to get. Price/Performance is unbeatable.

My only real complaint is the cable, which feels very low quality with a lot of microphonics. However, this is easily fixed with a 20€ aftermarket cable, so not enough to take a star off at this price point. The other thing I will mention is that some people may find the treble a little bit harsh at times, but this comes down to individual preference. The wood can make a couple of pops as you start wearing them, presumably as it changes temperature and expands. Not a big deal (it happens maybe 1/10 times) and probably inevitable when using real wood. Other than that, they are fantastic sounding headphones. If you haven't used a pair of high quality headphones before, you'll get to experience your favourite songs as if it were the first time again.
