DickiesUnisex Portland Padded Work Shirt (Pack of 1)

Small size perfect for a medium! Having just returned a cheaper brand as reviews advised going a size up I took a chance on this Dickies shirt and followed the reviews saying go a size down. I am normally a medium in shirts/jackets but went with the small for this product. The fit is great, arms exactly right and it can be worn with a sweat shirt underneath - on that basis I would imaging that the medium would have been too big. I think it could also be worn with a t-shirt when the weather gets a bit warmer so I think it will be versatile.At £25 on prime this is twice as much as the cheaper product I returned. The extra cost is more than reflected in the quality. Given its a check, the muted colours are fine and I wouldn't feel odd with this out around town. Worn it today out digging in fence posts in the garden at around about 4 degress above zero. Ket me warm and the chest and side pockets carried all the bits I needed for the job.So pleased with this I have just ordered one in green. Just hope the sizing is consistent....UPDATE FEB 2016 ******Over one year on and this is still doing great. No real wear and tear and its been worn most days and seen lots of action in the garden. Should also report that it dries really quickly after washing so quick turn around over the weekend. I did also get the green check in small size and the fit is very similar if a tiny bit tighter but still fine for a medium.

I love spending time outdoors. I love every season for the changes in the weather. Now I have this, I can't wait for later in the year when it gets icy.When it arrived, I initially thought I had been sent completely the wrong size. I ordered a medium and when it arrived it looked like XXXXL! However, upon putting it on I found it to be true to size. The initial appearance was, of course, down to the padding! Fortunately when you're wearing it, the padding doesn't actually make you look too big. It's not very bulky but it certainly is warm! Just trying it on, I started feeling very toasty very quickly. This will be perfect when the weather changes. I don't know what wind resistance it will offer, but underneath a coat or jacket this will definitely keep you out in the woods, fields or mountains all day long.Returning to size... I take a medium and this is certainly true to size. It might be the slightest bit generous as far as chest measurements go, but definitely not enough to make you consider changing size. I'm quite slim and it looks and feels fine (not too baggy) on me, but even if you're very broad/large I'd still recommend just getting your usual size because there's plenty of room in it.I wouldn't call it expensive, but it's not the cheapest, and it shows in the good build quality. As one might expect from this manufacturer, it's finished well and feels quite strong and rugged. I don't think it's going to wear out any time soon.The pop-stud buttons are quick and convenient to use, and the speed which which they can be done up also means it's no effort to do them all up on a hanger to dry it in shape after washing.

Bought this for my son's birthday as he already had one in a different colour. Love that it is warm practical workwear and fashionable too. I've been with him when people have commented on it. Soft exterior material, well made and true to size.

Excellent and typical quality from dickies, also very good price. The seller was also extremely helpful, checking details despite Amazon's wrong information about delivery. The goods arrive much earlier than anticipated, all in all a very good service.

The media could not be loaded. This is great for working outdoors or in the cold as it feels light but keeps you warm. This fits well but you don't feel restricted at all making it good for moving about, lifting, working.The fleece feels good with a padded inside and the press studs are perfect and I actually prefer them to a zip.It has two pockets which I quickly found useful.The sizing is good, I'm 85kgs 6ft1" and the large fits perfect.Good value product.

Only let down by the poppers have a pre-disposition to er, pop!Great if you wear a gillet jacket over the top but the shirt does have a habit of catching and un-popping whilst working, otherwise the best winter over-shirt on the market.If only they made a version with a baffled zip, then it would be perfect!

Bought as a gift for my Dad to wear working in the garden, the cold is beginning to effect his joints so I needed something warm but practical that wouldn’t impact his movement. He was over the moon with this. Great sleeve length - usually his first challenge! Really pleased. It’s lined but not bulky or restrictive, lovely feel (not harsh or scratchy)

Love this shirt stroke jacket.trust me it's so warm and cosy got the top button as a real button just like the old colours film.washes lovely will last year's .just not for rain but got an awesome discount on here on a dickies raincoat so happy all round.dickies clothes are top quality.

Das Dickies Portland war ein Geschenk, bei 178cm Größe und ca. 70kg passt es gut in Größe "M".Mir wurde berichtet das es sehr schön warm hält und angenehm zu tragen ist. Die Qualität ebenfalls gut ist. Super für Outdooraktivitäten oder arbeiten bei kälteren Außentemperaturen. Das richtige Holzfällerhemd für den Winter :-).
