Short and easy
This dvd is not a hard-core workout. It mostly features travellings steps with heavy Latin dance influence and not so much belly dance influence. There is a major focus on foot work. It's a great dvd I enjoyed the workout. Though not too many bellydance moves. I enjoyed the performances included as well on the special features.

Bellydancing Fun
I ordered this DVD after already owning the VHS version. The DVD is more affordable on amazon than the actual website where they are sold. If you want to learn to do some basic belly dancing in the privacy of your own home...this is for you!

STOP Please don't buy this.
Ok I used it 2 times and I don't like, I can't even get through the entire workout, I feel these movies aren't beneficial.I agree with the other reviews. Veena and Neena are better. Belly Dancing is meant to make women feel sensual and relaxed not stressed about hitting the correct steps. The music was too POP it wasn't really traditional, and the lunges got on my nerves, I have bum knees and the stupid spinning and "snake" arms made me annoyed. If I wanted to spin around , I could do it for free.

This is a good workout!
I've owned this workout for a long time, and from reading some of the reviews, I don't think people got the point of this DVD. It's not a solely instructional DVD, it's a workout. The moves still get broken down, but the point is to get exercise, not so much to learn moves for a performance routine. However, I will say that over time as you do the workouts, you DO start to remember moves, and you can put them into your own sort of routine, if you wish. Something I like to do is also dance to the additional performances that she puts on her DVD's. To each their own, of course, but I think people would find this workout more enjoyable if they look at it as getting a workout than an instructional how-to in belly dance. I personally like it because if I've stopped working out for a while and then get back into it, this is a nice DVD that doesn't wear me out, but still makes me feel like I did something.

Not for tenique!
If you are just looking for a different workout you might like this. If you have or want to study bellydance pass this one up! No technique is taught or demonstrated, the girls on the video are not bellydancers. The music is not middel eastern but jazz/r&b. The intro on the sleeve is horrible....sexy moves to spring on your lover...gag. Real bellydancing is an art form not a strip tease! I have seen this woman in a bahngra video which I liked, but that may be because I don't know much about bahngra.

Latin Heat and Sweat
This video has Latin moves to the music, and is put together nicely with shimmies, and a playful duck walk, It is fun, and easy to learn. If you taught Aerobics, or Jazzercise, you could use the routine. Also, the belly dance movements could be used in a routine with lively Salsa moves, She goes over the routine many times and adds to it, the music is not the best, but once you learn it, you could change to a Latin number you like best!
