Superior Pump 92541 1/2 HP Cast Iron Sump Pump with Vertical Switch

My sump died and the pit was full enough that it was 4 inches above the top of the pump. This one shot it out in about 10 seconds! It really moves some water.Can barely hear it running, much better than the old loud one. Install was pretty easy, the hardest part was getting the old one disconnected from over a decade of gunk.Seems well built, time will tell but I couldn't be happier at the moment, especially for the price.I am fairly handy and will say this was a super easy job and I would think most people could tackle it on their own.

Used this to replace another sump pump that had quit working. I installed it myself, and it works perfectly.

This pump really has an all cast iron housing. No breakable plastic grill at the base. The pickup grating and impeller are at the bottom of the pump so that the residual water level is about a fraction of an inch. The float switch is readily detachable so I can use this pump as a utility pump to drain my swimming pools [my primary purpose]. It has a convenient handle and a long power cord that easily plugs in to the float switch if it's removed and replaced. The pump delivery rate is excellent . So I bought another one. Good deal.
