The plush is silky soft and I love the way it feels. The lining of the hat is made with a very short velour like material, which is also soft. It’s on the thin side so it’s not stiff at all.It fits perfectly on my 21” circumference head (at my eyebrows). The heart “paws” reach down to the middle of my chest (I’m 5’2”, for reference). If I had to say, it’s a little on the loose side. It feels nice and warm. It’s a bit hard to push the “bulb” inside the heart “paws” (penguin=paws?). You have to push it fast to make his flippers wave. There are velcro circles under the flippers in case something from the pump mechanism comes loose and you need to reseat it (see closeup).It’s made pretty neatly. The seams are nice and neat. There are only a few loose threads (see closeup). The only thing that bugs me a little is that the white of the lining doesn’t match the white of the plush. It’s just a minor thing. The washing instructions are machine wash in water that is 86F or lower. No bleach. No iron. No dry clean. No dryer. I guess that means you should hang it to dry… Oh, and it’s just fabric. The only stuffing in it is in the beak.Much soft! Much like!P.S. It comes in a full-color box labelled, “Bubble Pom Pom.” I had no idea it meant the penguin hat and it had me confused for a second there. Since I just told you, you won’t be confused when it gets to your house :)

I got this hat for a spirit day at school and got a lot of compliments on how cute it was. The material is soft, and it keeps my ears warm. You need a lot of force to make the ears go all the way up, but it still works with a little squeeze. One thing I have to say though is, why does the penguin have paws? It should be flippers or something, but I digress. Overall really cute hat!

Cute and fun hat. We use this only for play, it's adorable. I removed a star bc it's a bit difficult for little kids to squeeze the pump to flop the ears.

I got this for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it. It is very cute, fun and comfortable. Would definitely recommend, especially as it starts getting colder outside!

This hat is so cute and super soft and cozy. Our youngest daughter loves it! She is 9 years old (almost 10) and it fits her head perfectly. The ears move when you push on the little paws at the bottom of the hat. The only downside we noticed is our dog thought this was a dog toy and tried to take off with it and chew it up. If you have a dog that loves plush dog toys, make sure to keep this hat out of reach. Otherwise it's an amazing hat and our daughter LOVES it!

Really cute animal hat, with the wiggling ears activated by squeezing a bulb in the dangly bits on each side. Well packaged. Would make a super fun gift-exchange item if you don't want to look silly yourself.Only suggestion for improvement is a big of padding behind where the eyes and beak are, kinda scratchy on your forehead.

I thought spending a little extra would be worth it as a cute gag gift. Wrong! These hats should be 5 dollar items NOT 16. I ordered 2 hats. Neither work correctly. One hat ear will inflate then immediately lose air and fall. The other hat's hand pump deflates when squeezed then takes forever to refill.

This was super cute and I was so excited to get it, it works but it is a bit wonky. One side you definitely have to squeeze harder than the other. I also notice I have to readjust the mechanisms in it quite often. Overall it still works and looks adorable but maybe mine was just a little messed up. EIther way it has been totally worth it and I would love to have other ones like it!
