I love the dekor system! We used it for cloth diapering our baby (no odors escape this thing, and I have a very strong sense of smell!) Once our child was potty-trained, we removed the trap door opening and continued to use it for trash. We now use it for the kitty litter clumps after cleaning the cat box in a 3rd story apartment. As long as the cat box itself is clean, no smell from the Dekor, and we don’t have to haul it down to the dumpster everyday! I love that instead of individual bags, it has a roll that ties at the bottom, they are stronger than they look and feel. 10 years later the bags have never broken, and you don’t waste much plastic if you want to remove something gross before the bag is full. There is a special safety cutter (kind of like a letter opening tool) inside the door, and you just cut of the length of bag you want and tie it off. It’s never too short or too long. Also, refills were cheaper per month than the diaper genie we originally Received, less plastic and controlled odors MUCH BETTER. Also, the diaper genie wouldn’t have doubled as a convenient trash and wouldn’t have worked for scooping cat litter clumps into because of the small circular opening.

We LOVE these Dekor diaper pails! After having a few different models of the diaper genie that made it hard to fit diapers in, we needed a change and ended up trying dekor. It’s so much easier - with a wider opening, the ability to lock it ( so little hands don’t put other things in it), and a large refill wrap of bags, you can’t go wrong! Extra bonus that it fits less diapers so you change it more often and have less smell. And of course, these bags are perfect for it. With 3 babies in diapers we go through about a box every 2 months.

I was surprised at how easy it was to change our the bags. We have a diaper genie that we were using for disposable diapers & we bought this one to use for cloth. However, the diaper genie pail broke months ago so when we ran out of bags I decided to try and use the Dekor for disposable diapers. I watched the video on Amazon and read the instruction paper that comes on each refill. I actually like these refills more than the Diaper Genie! I always struggled to get the Genie refills lined up just right so I could close the lid, but the Dekor I was able to figure out on the first try! They are way easier to switch out & cut than the Genie, but I do wish they were a little more smell-proof. I am very satisfied with the easy of use.

I use these bags with my Dekor plus diaper pail. I researched a lot before settling in this option. My intention was to hack the diaper pail and use regular trash bags because I watched some videos on it and it worked easy with this one. BUT! the pail came with one bag already iserted and we used it for an entire month after we came from the hospital. I was so impressed that I have bought it twice. 7th month and we have only bought this twice.. we still have one long roll in the box, unused from the second purchase and the other roll is still in use so literally, we have only fully used one box in 6months. My biggest satisfaction is that as long as the lid is closed after u drop in a diaper, any bad smell is trapped inside. You won't surprisingly be wondering 'whats that smell' is it the diaper pail?..no not with this one. If you drop a bad smell diaper, you will know on the next diaper change its from the pain cos the flap opens up et voila! the smells comes out a bit. But you close it, and its gone, then after a few more changes, that diaper is buried entirely and the smell doesn't resurface when you open the lid. The bags are sturdy; my baby is 7 months old now and sometimes I sit her in the bath before taking off her diaper so it soaks water. And I am so surprised the decor plus diaper bag hold the soaking wet diapers which is the case every evening for weeks until we change it when its eventually full..with no leakage!! I recommended this and the diaper pail.

The best!! We are so happy with our diaper bin. These bags are great - easy to install, fit perfectly, thick enough that smell isn’t an issue, and super functional. We buy them over and over again!

The continuous bag for the Dekor Plus is a smart idea. It is easy to install and use. My only issue is the marking that tells you when the bag is at its last is on the wrong end. It is in the inside. That's the first thing you grab and use. We change it every other day, when the trash truck comes around. So we had to gauge the amount left by how long we had the refill in there, which is about a month. This gives four months per box of refills, so I suggest buying boxes in pairs, especially if your baby is quite young and you have 10 or more changes a day. We tried the imitation brand when we first tried refills, and bought the wrong, but still able to work, size. When we switched to the Dekor Plus refills, we noticed a complete lack of smell when the bin is properly closed and bag frequently changed. You really notice how well the bag and bin work to keep the smell in when you open it.

There are dozens of dramatic reviews on different versions of the Diaper Dekor refill and system. People are apparently very passionate about diaper pails. I'll keep it simple. Here are the reasons why I kept the Diaper Dekor and tossed the other three systems: 1) Simple, straightforward re-fill design. The plastic is one long roll which you tie off as you use it. Super easy and will save you money in the long-run. 2) NO STINK. I have used the Diaper Dekor system and these refills for 2 years now and I have never had a problem with stink. I think we need a little common sense-- NO diaper pail will smell fresh if its kept full for days on end and never cleaned out. I empty the pail every 4-5 days (you just tie it off, so you're not wasting liners), and I also run a sanitizing wipe along the inside. That keeps it fresh. 3) Price: because of the "tie it off" system, you end up only using as much of the refill roll as you need. Want to empty the pail after a particularly smelly diaper? Fine-- tie off after a couple inches. Leaving it full for many days? No problem-- tie off a few few feet. Its a much less expensive system. I have tried the biodegradable and non-biodegradable versions of the refills. I have not noticed ANY difference in smell/quality between them. I also use biodegradable diapers, so it makes sense to keep everything eco-friendly when I can and I like that Diaper Dekor gives you the option of choosing from green or regular liners.
