BEASTGRIP PRO Universal Smartphone Camera Rig with Wide Angle and Fisheye Lens

If you're looking for a phone cage, just buy it No questions asked. I'm a filmmaker and wanted to get into mobile filmmaking. No cage fits the new S22 ultra, right now. This is universal, so even something as huge as the s22 ultra (in it's case) still fits. This thing is sturdy. You can tell it was properly built. The lens mount section is removable, so I don't have to block my Ultra's lens. It also adds a little weight for handheld stability, and has handles to hold on the sides. Lastly, I can mount it on my Aircross 2 Gimbal, because of the 1/4" screw hole, at the bottom. I can even invert it, since there is another 1/4" hole at the top. The 1/4" makes it more versatile, since it also sits on my CV new motorized slider from Moza, and my new cinema grade tripod.

Love this. Had already seen in person so knew what to expect. Great alternative to getting it directly from Beastgrip - as you don't need to worry about import fee etc. Would be good if the official beastgrip light was available for purchase too

Great grip, adds stability and is nicely configurable. Having seen and tried some of the many cheaper versions this is well worth the extra money. A proper professional bit of kit..

Love it just disappointing that they had a special on after I bought mine that came with a free lens. But it works great with the DOF ADAPTOR I found some old Russian Helios lenses that are great. Also bought a Anamorphic. All working well.

Unfortunately it is not possible to use an iPhone with a one thumb start and stop just using the right hand handle as in the incredible Apple Iphkbe 13 advert It is very difficult to reach start button with the thumb in real life The vertical adjustment does not allow enough movement to place the iPhone start button at the right position for the thumb The unit is too heavy plastic would suffice. It is over engineered The principle is great But no one allowed a photographer and videographer to try it out . Can I have my money back please?

It's brilliantly built but I have the s23 ultra and using the 1.33 anamorphic lens again all looks great apart from in the native camera app I get a jello effect and blurry parts of the lens at the edges... The only app that works with this lens is filmic pro but this has its limits and you have to pay a subscription so you are forced to film in 4k and at 24 fps I have spoken to beastgrip about this and they said there is no plan to do an android app.

Great hardware. Love the design. Perfect for filmaholics.

Il cage Beast Grip è universale, si adatta a molteplici sprtphone (io lo uso su iPhone 13 pro, ma calza perfettamente anche sulle versioni più recenti e Max); una volta inserito il telefono, la posizione è molto stabile, il cage molto solido e ben costruito, con materiali che sembrano ottimi e resistenti nel tempo, ma con qualche pecca. Non ne faccio un utilizzo "professionale", ma da semplice amatore. Sicuramente è un po' ingombrante, ma il suo ingombro è necessario anche per consentire l'installazione di lenti aggiuntive con attacco da 37mm. Offre diversi fori filettati con standard da 1/4 per montare il cage su cavalletto o su un gimbal, sia sul lato superiore che su quello inferiore. L'ultima versione in particolare è stata migliorata, consentendo anche di montare il cage e quindi il telefono su gimbal a testa in giù per allineare meglio il gruppo ottico all'asse del gimbal e per mantenere il baricentro in posizione più favorevole su gimbal che non hanno payload elevati (ad esempio il Feyutech Scorp Mini). Inoltre, in dotazione, viene inclusa una piccola slitta a freddo che può essere avvitata a qualsiasi foro filettato 1/4 di pollice per aggiungere un classico microfono direzionale, oppure un faretto led o altri accessori esterni utili per fare video. Avrei apprezzato però, visto il prezzo decisamente premium (quasi 200 euro), che venissero inclusi anche un paio di anelli adattatori per dare la possibilità di montare anche filtri a vite da 67mm, quando ad esempio non vengono utilizzare lenti aggiuntive Beastgrip e magari anche una step down da 37mm a 17mm per utilizzare altre lenti aggiuntive. Anche Trovo invece migliorabile la maniglia di presa del cage, che avrebbe potuto essere un po' più ergonomica o quanto meno che fosse già inserita nella dotazione la piastra NATO da sostituire, una volta rimossa la maniglia standard, per consentire di collegare una maniglia con standard Nato, anche di altre marche (smallrig o altro). Il prezzo, quasi 200 euro, a cui l'ho acquistato, lo trovo decisamente eccessivo.

The Beastgrip is AWESOME! Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to shoot professional content with your smartphone. I’m a DJ and use it all the time for recording my live shows, live streaming on Periscope and taking really cool pictures of my rig. I have an iPhone 6S Plus, but it works great with my friend’s Galaxy Note too. Love the lenses – Wide angle looks really wide and gets a lot in the frame really well. The fisheye looks really cool for close ups and has a nice effect for crowd shots and when I shoot my friends skateboarding. Build is really solid, holds my phone really secure and is pretty lightweight. There are mounts all over it and it’s really versatile for using it how you want - you can set it up differently (up to four different ways). The best part is that you can shoot pics/video, edit and export to social media or your laptop all from the phone. A lot faster than working with SD cards on my DSLR. Excited to film more with my Beastgrip!
