Works perfectly. Just remember this is a ONE-WAY (unidirectional) adapter. Meaning, output has to be VGA and input is HDMI.

I used this adapter to convert the SVGA output from an Elecraft P3 panadapter display into HDMI input for an LG 32" monitor, and it seems to be working perfectly at 1920x1080. We shall see if it's reliable (I note a few other reviewers had reliability issues). Note that it does need 5V power from a USB connection to work - you won't see any video without it. My application doesn't use audio so I haven't tested that part of the device. My only gripe is with the micro-USB connector for the power - this kind of connector is known to be flaky and prone to failure and I'd rather see almost anything else.

I had doubts whether this cable would work with my video capture card, but alas I was proved wrong! Once I hooked up the VGA cable to the back of the tower and plugged the USB cable into the 3.0 jack on the back of the tower, then the HDMI cable into the HDMI input on the capture card and the USB of the capture card into the 3.0 jack on the laptop, it was smooth sailing from there and I saw the welcome screen from the tower in OBS. Great success and one I am keeping! Wonderfully made cables and great connections. Definitely served my purpose. Didn't use the audio cable as I had a mixer running through the tower anyway so that works just fine. Picture is a little small and sometimes lags, but that is ok with me for now.If you are looking to hook your 10 year old VGA computer to HDMI whether it's a TV, monitor, or a video capture card like me, the VGA to HDMI converter works well, just remember to plug the USB power cord into the back of the VGA computer and you're set to go! Works like It is supposed to. Wish instructions came but I was able to figure out the set up. Doesn’t work for audio but that’s ok because I used my blue tooth speaker which has surround sound so I was ok. Netflix and Xfinity stream does not work with the product. Other then that Hulu, Tubi, Pluto TV work just fine. For Netflix I can see it on my screen and when I chose the show I’m watching but then it goes blank and only plays on my IPhone. Xfinity steam says within the app it can not play due to third party hardware.08/31/2020** UPDATE ** i had to lower my star rating for this product. the last time I used this was 8/17/2020 - I was able to watch some news from my phone to the TV. I tried to use it yesterday and it doesn't even work. I had it for at least maybe less than 1 month tops. Will NOT be ordering again.11/20/20 ** UPDATE **Ok i have to edit my review - I was gifted a smart tv from my co worker a few weeks ago, I still had this adapter so i figured i would try it out and see if it still works, It actually does still work, I'm assuming since my last tv was from almost 8 yrs ago and was NOT smart tv the cable was not compatible. But it does work, Just not again for Netflix nor comcast. But for Tubi/Crackle/Pluto TV it does work.

Doesn't even work.Hdmi cable works with other electronics. Power cord works with other electronics. All the converter does is heat up.

Item works fine. Just installed so I'll give it a few months.

I used this unit to interface a second monitor (TV) that had no VGA port. It worked to convert VGA signal to HDMI but caused my main monitor (plugged into a different port) to flicker and glitch. It also triggered a sound, like plugging in a device, every 20 seconds or so. The syndrome may be limited to my specific PC. This unit would probably be fine if it's the only thing plugged in.
