Presto 07061 22-Inch Electric Griddle with Removable Handles, Extra-Large Nonstick Ceramic Surface, Black

We’ve been using this for a good while now. Pros: It’s an easy setup. Consistent results. Cooks pretty well overall (see below). Cleans up great, even after lots of use. Cons: The catch tray fell and has chipped the wings that hold it in place. The plastic is too brittle imo. The heat unsurprisingly follows the line of the element and makes it have something of a hotspot kind of heating surface. It’s not bad at all, but does mean you note some areas are done slightly sooner than others. Overall, if buy again if it broke tomorrow.

I've always had good luck with the Presto Brand, so when I wanted a new Griddle I had no hesitation checking out their lineup. I always do a decent amount of searching and research on a product I plan on getting a lot of use out of. When I saw this Griddle Version, I liked what the description said. Even though I like the Presto Brand, a lot of Great Brand Names just don't seem to be what they used to be. So I didn't take nothing for granted even though I was hoping what was written was true. Full of nice features like removable handles, large size for when you have family visiting but what I really appreciated was the NO STICK SURFACE! A lot claim no stick but you still end up using something to help out in that department like melted butter or there's still some sticking. I purposefully waited to write a review till I had multiple times to use the Griddle and then could give a true account of how it worked for me. So far so GREAT! The size saves a lot of time Grilling, and to my relief, the NON STICK SURFACE has been exactly that! I do not use anything to help it and pancakes or french toast don't stick. The surface is covered by a ton of mini bumps and they work great. Because of the handles are removable and non stick surface, CLEAN UP IS AS EASY AS POSSIBLE. All this and the quality of everything seems very well made, and I'm looking to get many years of use from it. So far I have no negatives to tell about, at least nothing that I have found. Just a great product that I wouldn't hesitate to suggest to anyone to buy.

This griddle is outstanding. It’s got a super durable surface that works just as well for grilling meat as it does for pancakes. So far it cleans so easily, is nonstick and I love being able to take the legs off for cleaning. The heating element works well, but because it circles the outside of the unit i do notice the middle doesn’t get as hot. This isn’t a problem for me since the griddle is very large and I can cook the same amount of things on the hearing element as I did my last one and still have plenty of room to move things around and switch up the direct heat. I highly recommend this griddle (I have been using it for a few months) if anything changes I will update the review.

My wife mentioned she would like to have a table top griddle, which some of her friends have. Bought it for Christmas and we love it! We love using the griddle at the table more than anything. E spot across from each other and work as a Team to fit us and the kids. Unlike the kitchen or grilling outside, we have fun cooking like this together and we talk while we are cooking. It’s so much fun! The size is AWESOME! If it was any smaller it would be too small for a family of 5 cooking salmon and shrimp or beef fajitas and onions (attached picture is 1 of 2 batches we cooked). My advice, don’t get a griddle any smaller of your going to use it on the table and a family of 4 or 5. It is also so way to clean and store away, though it is rather larger; however removing the handles does help. So why the 4 stars? The heat is not even throughout, mainly in the center. Look at the picture of Fajitas we cooked; grilled around the outside, non-boiling liquid in the center. If we left the fajitas out to get room temperature then maybe better result but from the refrigerator they cool off the center too much and even heating is completely gone and the food is done before it can recover, or some food is but food in center is not (you can see the lighter colored ones the we moved from the center to the outside to finish cooking). Look at the picture of the bottom side and you can see why. The a coil that wraps around and heats the top is too far apart in the center. Is just not designed right for the size. One more single coil through the middle and this thing would be 6 star perfect for us! Maybe in the future the manufacturer will fix this and we’ll upgrade!

Excellent product! I bought this 22” griddle because my 5 grandchildren popped up on me. I made several pancakes for them in about 20 minutes at 8 at a time. The pancakes cooked evenly. I did however use a laser temperature gauge so that helped a lot as well not to burn or undercook them. The nonstick worked well also. It was easy to add and remove the handles. It washed extremely well and looks like new after use. Storage was nice as well. I slid it in the cabinet right next to the cutting boards. I didn’t find the texture of the griddle to be a problem at all with the pancakes as I read others did. Worth the money.

So far, so good! Did my research, this was the top contender! I love it! Great size for a family. I made blueberry pancakes, no oil, slid right off, came out perfect! Easy clean up too, couldn’t be any simpler to use or clean. I will get so much use from this griddle and save a lot of time in the process, which is my goal. Why did I wait so long to purchase? I was mainly worried about even heat distribution. This exceeded my expectations as every pancake was cooked evenly. I’m more than pleased! And look, 12 bun size sausage patties cooked at once! This would make a great gift for anyone who does much cooking! Trust me when I tell you I am very happy with this product!

I had the Presto 07039 22-Inch Electric Griddle for 5 years, but the nonstick surface was starting to wear off from frequent use, so I was in the market for a replacement. Having had a Presto already, I knew it did a decent job of cooking evenly, had a good nonstick surface, and was affordably priced. I was hoping to find one that would be a little easier to clean, and debated between a couple of dishwasher-safe options, but settled on the Presto 07061 22-inch Electric Griddle with Removable Handles for its removable handles. The problem with all the dishwasher-safe options is that they were big and bulky - by design since the heating element had to be separate from the cooking surface. I am please to report that I am happy with my choice. The large 22" cooking surface has excellent nonstick properties; I prefer it over my previous Presto griddle which didn't have the same texture. I made an egg (with no oil) and the non-stick was so good that the edges of the egg actually curled up and away from the surface on their own. No sticking whatsoever. I was a bit worried that the handles might be loose, making the griddle wiggly, but I'm happy to report that is not the case. In fact, I can't tell that they are removable handles at all when moving the griddle around. It's very solid, with nice little rubber grippies on the bottom of the legs - something my previous Presto did not have. And the handles are very simple to remove. Each of the four legs has a tight spring latch that secures the handles in place. You can easily remove the handles in seconds and store the cooking surface in the same cupboard as your pizza pans! The shape of the cooking surface is also more convenient to clean than my last Presto. This one is flat, with an opening in the rim where the grease tray resides. You can wipe the surface straight off the edge of the griddle into the grease tray or a sink/garbage. My previous Presto just had a small hole that grease was supposed to drain through, and you had to wipe any larger pieces up and over the rim. Also, the grease tray on this model has two small catches that prevent it from sliding open too easily. My last Presto had no such mechanism, and the tray actually slid out while I was in the process of moving it and broke when it hit the floor. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. I'm sure there are other great griddle options out there with more bells and whistles, but this one does the job and is both affordable and convenient.

If anything, this is too non-stick. I actually have trouble getting my flipper under the pancakes because they slide all over the griddle. I don't use any grease at all. I love that the instructions included recommended temperatures for various purposes. It heats up super fast as well. Clean up has been very easy. Just a quick wipe with a hot soapy cloth. Removing the handles is easy and makes storage simple. It just slides in next to the cutting boards.
