So far so good. Easy install, no leaks. There is a battery backup, but it shuts off the wifi connection if it doesnt have a source of power. The battery allows you to open/close the valve with the button directly on the device.

Unit is sturdy in your hands. Tested before installing. Includes brass couplings and wire and rechargeable battery power what a plus. Now I can monitor and turn off valve through WiFi where ever I am. Just finished install myself and all is good so far. Will only update review if i have a problem with unit.

So far so good. It does need a ups though because if power is lost, the wifi settings are lost.Overall great device to help manage and watch water flow or disable the water flow.

Jury is out wrt whether or not it works as it is supposed to. I bought it to protect against a pipe bursting in my basement. I hope I never have the occasion to test it but it does give peace of mind anyway. I love the features it is supposed to have though. BUT... and the reason for 3 stars is than it is difficult to know how to set it up. 18 pages of instructions are printed on one piece of paper 20" x 6" with a Font size of 4. I could not read them with my reading glasses. I had to use a magnifying glass. Also, I still am not sure if it will communicate with me when I am away outside the range of Bluetooth.I thought that 3/4" connection meant that it would directly connect to a 3/4 SharkBite fitting but it does not. You have to use the extenders that come with itI think I saw the word "Network" in the instructions but I am too exhausted to pursue after struggling through the Bluetooth setup.

The WiFi Smart Water Valve by Haozee, is super helpful for me to be able to monitor real time usage, leaks and control the flow, when I’m not home. How did I not have one before? Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – It looks and feels like good quality, but probable only in the middle of the quality scale.II. Set-up – The set-up wasn’t as bad as I was thinking. It didn’t take very long and was without any issues. You just put it into the water line, set up the WiFi and limits you want.III. Performance – It has worked great so far with an ease connection to the WiFi so I can monitor it when not at home. Manual shut off has worked every time I’ve tried. No leaking or other issues so far. It feels like this product is currently offering a great value if only for the peace of mind, but also considering the quality, performance, durability and what you’re getting.Overall, this has been a wonderful idea that was ease to set-up, with great performance and it provides a tremendous peace of mind. I love knowing that it should auto turn off if something breaks and I can also turn it off myself if needed. It’s also great for short term rentals! I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

Very nice device, if you don't need complex automation. My issue was with the software. I needed the option in the smart life app of triggering a scene that turned on a light as part of a complex automation. While this did work, the device would only activate the scene one time using the 'Duration of a single water use > X min'. The only automatic means to reset the water use trigger was to turn the valve off and on, would not work for my needs. I did return mine after working with tech support for a week, very nice and prompt responses but we were unsuccessful in getting the software updated before I was out of time on the return date.

It took me several months to finally install this in my new house, but I'm glad I finally did. It was an easy installation. Since I already have a full-house water softener system that feeds into my garage, I simply inserted this into the inlet pipe. Having the ability to view my whole-house water usage as well as turn it off remotely is fantastic.I was able to easily connect this with the Smart Life app, but I want to eventually move it over to my HomeAssistant controller... I'm not sure yet how to do that. I'll update this review if I figure it out.
