Fiskars Garden Shovel for Digging, Heavy Duty Steel Gardening Tool with Straight Handle

Great shovel - I dig for a living and this shovel is the best I’ve ever used.It’s a bit heavier than others, but if can lift rocks from holes and cuts through roots easier.The foot pad is wide and this year my work boots haven’t been damaged prematurely in the arch from thin foot pads like other shovels.I’ve used this shovel 40 hours a week for about a year before the blade finally came apart.If you’re smaller or older, this may be overkill for you. Home Depot sells Razorbacks and they’re not too bad.But if you don’t mind it weighing a little more, this is the best shovel I’ve used in the last 5 years.

Love how well built this shovel is. 100% zero complaints.However, you know how you get tired turning dirt? Well, you might get tired just carrying this thing to the work area!It was way heavier than I ever expected. The steal handle is welded to the actual spade which makes for more of a one piece construction.As much as I LOVE this... it would be a draw back for casual older gardeners or doing larger areas in a single go if you aren't in better shape. I don't believe it is so heavy that the average person would be bothered by its weight, but some elderly people might be, as well as anyone else bothered by heavier tools.

I didn't think I would be so excited about a shovel but I really like this one. It's solid steel construction throughout and has a place to put your foot when you really want to drive it down.

I love this shovel! I live in the mountains and need to often dig through tough roots and rocky soil, perfect for this. I'm also a landscape gardener and for digging out larger plants, trees and shrubs it's amazing. Being sold steel you can use it with great prying strength that would break most other shovels. Also a bit heavy so is good as kinda a breaker bar. For general dirt moving and materials shoveling it is a bit heavy. But for heavier jobs it is really heavy duty. Love it.

As a contractor these shovels essentially offer the gold standard until they don't. I have broke these shovels more times than i care to admit. However they typically last about 3x longer in commercial applications than other standards out there.

This is a strong heavy duty shovel. Great quality. Nice enamel coating. Happy with purchase

But good for light work around the property.
