Samsung 990 PRO Heatsink NVMe M.2 SSD with heat sink, 4 TB, PCIe 4.0, 7,450 MB/s read, 6,900 MB/s write, Internal SSD with RGB for PC/console gaming and video editing, MZ-V9P4T0CW

If you use your PS5 regularly, additional storage quickly becomes a necessity. The built-in storage fills up surprisingly fast with modern game sizes, so upgrading is almost essential for anyone with a larger game library. This SSD was incredibly easy to install and was recognised by the console straight away. Performance has been excellent, with fast load times, instant boot-up, and smooth operation. It's also very reliable and runs quietly, with little to no noticeable noise. Another advantage is its versatility. While I purchased it for my PS5, it can also be used in compatible PCs, laptops, and other devices, making it a flexible long-term investment. Although it isn't the cheapest option available, you're paying for quality, reliability, and strong performance. For anyone looking to expand their storage without compromising speed, this SSD is well worth the money.

The Samsung 990 PRO with heatsink is an absolute beast of an NVMe drive. Boot times are practically instantaneous, game loads are seamless, and large file transfers move in the blink of an eye. The integrated factory heatsink is not just for show-it keeps operating temperatures remarkably low even under sustained write workloads, preventing any thermal throttling. It fits perfectly into standard desktop M.2 slots without interfering with nearby PCle components, and the sleek design looks fantastic on the motherboard. Supported by Samsung Magician software for effortless firmware updates and drive health monitoring, it is easily the gold standard for high-performance Gen4 storage. Outstanding drive!

Great update from a sata ssd, price was good at the time. Faster than my old ssd ,but not noticeable in many games.

Purchased this product so I could keep a bigger library of games. This comes as I hate the fact I need to keep downloading the games and deleting ones I play intermittently. It's very easy to install but if you are new to gaming or are a parent doing it for a child/teen dont worry about it there are installation instructions on YouTube. Formating it to the playstation does take up a small amount of memory but this is the same with anything you may put it in. Samsung always seem to produce excellent products and this is no different. It's good value for money and functions slightly better than the internal memory. So worth it if you have a gamer in the house.

The drive works well, but the Magician was not helpful in my case. I wanted to migrate Windows 11 from the Toshiba HDD to the 990 Pro. The Magician could not detect the old HDD. I had to purchase AOMEI Backupper to clone the drive.

Absolutely amazing yes it's a lot of money but if you are a gamer and keep switching games you need this loving it and has not disappoint

Perfect for PS5 and PC, wether for PS5 or PC, connect it to a PC's motherboard and download Samsung Magician to update the firmware, it works via a usb connector but Samsung Magician won't recognise it as genuine. I was so happy to have gotten this on offer at £139 for my PS5 Pro that I got another one for my PC to replace and older slower drive. I got the second one from another store after seeing they sold out everywhere and prices were being raised, managed to get what seemed to be one of the last available online at the same offer price.

I am able to install the new 4TB drive as main drive on the Alienware M18 laptop.

Fits perfect, the transfer of games from the console to ssd is super quick as I transferred over 300gb to the side in less than 10 minutes. It runs smoothly and have not had any issues as it has exceeded expectations

Installation was easy in my PS5, make sure you get this one with the built on Heatsink. Games and Battlefield 6 rounds load super fast so I get the vehicle I want before others spawn in much of the time so definitely worth the little extra I paid for this premium product that gives premium performance. And though you can get more than this, 1 TB is well more enough for me since I'll be playing mostly Battlefield 6 and just a few others in the future like Indiana Jones and Wolverine.
