This is a great tarp to use as a tent floor when car camping. There are much lighter and thinner options for backpacking. In the photos in the description, it shows this extending out from the underside of the tent. If the tent has a built in floor and rain is expected, you want to make sure this is tucked completed under the tent. If it sticks out, it will channel water under the tent and trap that water between the tent floor and this tarp. Keeping it completely underneath is standard practice for tenting. The product is excellent, just use it correctly.This provides a completely waterproof barrier that will protect the floor of the tent and reduce cleanup when putting the tent away. It is heavy duty, and useful for lots of other things a tarp is useful for.

Great durable tarp. Made very well. I have other tarps that I use to cover my Hammocks or use as a floor but they don't stand the test of time. This East Oak tarp withstands us walking all over it while on my very woodsy ground.
