I'm an adult and I have very sharp corners on some of my furniture. I kept getting scratches and cuts from them, and so were my guests. That's never good. That's when I discovered these corner bumpers/guards. — THINGS TO KNOW — Two things you should know: 1) They aren't child-proof. These corners are stuck on with tape, and besides, do you honestly want to permanently add corners to your nice furniture? I think when the packaging says "Childproof it!", they meant "protect your kids from sharp corners", not, "this is child proof so they can't remove it". That's my interpretation of it. 2) These are more compact in size compared to other brands. While other types are bigger and softer, these are smaller and denser; both achieve the same purpose, with only a visual difference. Do you want giant obvious cushions on your furniture, or something more subtle? I personally prefer this compact version. — TO APPLY — You are provided a sheet of 3M double-sided tape. They go on the inside flat parts of the corners (three pieces of tape on each corner). Test one out on a real corner to see how they fit before peeling off the tape. Each should be flush to a corner without any space between the guard and your table. Repeat for the other three corners. Once applied, the cushioning makes a world of difference for furniture safety. — CHILD SAFE — These are child safe—not just to protect them from sharp corners, but they are 100% non-toxic, are latex-free, and made of fire-resistance materials. That's good for kids and adults. — SUMMARY — If you have kids or sharp furniture, protect them/yourself, and your furniture, by getting corner guards. Don't forget to get different colors to match. Recommended.

We used these for a coffee table and the corners are protected with a thick foam cushion. A little bit of a challenge to put the adhesive on, but they work great!!

Works on but gets pulled off easily.

I just received these for a book shelf with a sharp corner that sits right next to my child’s bed. I read the reviews before purchasing so upon opening them and getting the tape off I pulled the paper off slowly making sure the tape stuck to the larger piece of paper so I could then use my nail to peel it off of the larger piece. I also had an extra finger ready to catch the tape if it wanted to start rolling together. That made it so much more easier and a perfect application. If you move slow the tape is very easy to get off the paper. They work perfect!

After reading reviews on other products like these, I was at first hesitant about buying them. Many people have had trouble with the two-sided tape used to secure the cushions to furniture corners. The tape could certainly be made easier to use but if one has a bit of patience, a good fingernail or a small knife, the plastic film that is placed on the tape can easily be removed. The tape has firmly secured the cushions to surfaces both slick and course-grained. It also, in my opinion, is working very well. If and when the time comes one of them becomes detached, I've made up my mind to use a small bit of contact cement to reattach. The cushions are of a material I expect will reduce damage in a fall or strike. My elderly dad is very unstable and mostly uses a walker to get around. On a few occasions he has fell into the edges of tables and counter tops to catch himself. Though doing such has kept him from a nastier fall to the floor, he has been badly bruised a couple of times. I really don't expect that to happen anymore with these corners in place. Even if one should pop off during such an event, I fully expect them to lessen damage. I certainly do not regret buying them.

Update: 2/13/13 These corners were nice when my son was young and just learning to walk. We followed the directions, including cleaning the area and letting it dry prior to application. I applied 3 pieces of tape (included) to each corner. They stayed on for quite a while and provided peace of mind whenever he approached our desk or entertainment center. Fast forward to him walking (~1 yr old) and these became toys to him. After pulling them off the first time, the tape is no longer sticky. You can put them back on but they offer no resistance whatsoever. Right now, all 4 that we have are sitting on my desk as it is pointless to reapply them. My son just prefers to chew on them at this point. I would advise that you purchase stronger double-sided tape as recommended in other reviews.

Perfect for the corner of my bed that has raised posts with square peices that I always bang my leg against. Fit perfectly and has small glue stickers to hold in place.

The first time I ordered this it was obviously used. Someone left a tag with hand writing on it, and two of the cushions had used tape on them (making them useless). I returned and reordered. Although the packaging says 4 pack, there are 8 included (as stated when ordered), but there is only enough tape for four in this new order. Now this makes four of them useless. Very frustrating.

Solid product. You can use the removable velcro but in my case i just use a standard 3m double adhesive tape so that children wont play with it. Make sure to clean with alcohol the surface where you will put the adhesive side of the tape. That should be the modt important step.

NOTE: 12 pieces of tape not 16 (you are suppose to tape the top of the item and then put one piece over the corner onto both sides), also read the measurements as apparently these come in different sizes so it may not cover top to bottom however I feel the real concern for kids is on the top of the corner. I used these on my BBQ outside. The corners of my BBQ were ripping my cover really badly (just after one use of it), so I thought about these little devices as a friend suggested I give it a try (she has little ones) so I thought what the heck, for $10 it would save me buying a new cover every year. Well These are absolutely GREAT!!! They were not hard to tape as I have worked with double sided tape before and you remove one side - stick it to the table make sure it is firmly stuck down and then you peel the other side off. I don't think they would ruin any furniture as mine are on metal. They are not a permanent fix for people with kids but that is the point I believe it is only for when you little guys are learning to walk so they don't bump their heads off a corner should they fall. Should I ever have children in the future I would definitely use this product again. since they are removable you can buy new tape if you want from Wal-Mart and reuse them.

The only reason I bought this was because I expected it to be made in the USA and decent quality. It's made in China and quality is typical and pretty average.
