Rubbermaid Commercial Products Universal Blend Mop Head, Blue, 24oz

This is a heavy-duty mop head for big jobs. It will work for small jobs, too. But, it is really meant for commercial type use. It is large, bulky, and holds a lot of liquid. I had trouble getting it to fit it into the wringer of my commercial mob bucket (with wringer). I actually had to cut some of the braids off so that it would fit the wringer. I have used mine dozens of times on stone floor tiles that are slightly rough. This mop takes a lick'n and keeps on tick'n. When it's brand new, it may take a little while to become fully absorbent (broken-in). But it doesn't take long. It's a nice product that does what it's supposed to do. If you need a light-duty mop head, this one might be a little too much.

The size of this mop head allows you to cover a ton of floor area in a very short time. I have 8-900 square feet of tile and wood, between my kitchen, living room, dining room, hallways and two bathrooms, and I spend more time filling and emptying the mop bucket than I do actually mopping. It's pro-grade stuff, and it gets the job done. Highly recommend a commercial-grade bucket with a good lever-operated drainer on it, because this head is made to be used with one. If you try to use it sopping wet, it's super heavy and will leave a ton of water on the floor.

When I opened this mop head and installed it, several strands had come loose from the stitching (which looks hap-hazard) and had to be trimmed off. I was disappointed that a Rubbermaid product would be "falling apart" before its first use. However, I have used it for 3 weeks now and no new "danglers" have developed and the mop head has performed well in daily use. I cannot complain about its absorbency or durability.

Nothing beats an old fashioned, industrial Rubbermaid mop. I have the mop head and rolling bucket. If you have a house with little to no carpet, you need this system. It’s a workhorse.

I will be ordering more of these. 11/10/14: I just opened my two new mop heads for use on a restaurant my company Cleans 7 days a week and WOW the stitching was missing in 3 areas on one and only one row of stitching on the second one and the blue mesh was crooked and overlapping with no stitching. Needless to say we had try and make due on mopping 30,000 square feet of flooring and between using both heads as they unraveled I had to complete the job with a finishing mop head.

I’m very happy with this hop head, it durable and it got my floors clean.

So far the quality of this mop is good. I would like it for commercial use but is way too big for my slate tile floors at home. My biggest downfall is the mop head is way to big for the Rubbermaid Commercial Invader Side Gate Mop Handle, 60", Black. It was difficult to get it in and with the heaviness from the mop head had no good control use with the small wooden handle. The Handle felt like it was made for something with not as much weight.

La calidad es excelente, pero está es muy grande para lo que necesite, revisen los tamaños que van a pedir porque este es para un lugar con mucho piso que limpiar como un banco. Carga mucha agua y rinde genial.

Esta mopa es de material reciclado, es muy gruesa y con bastantes hilos. Absorbe bien y limpia sin tanto esfuerzo. Al ser muy grueso se dificulta el exprimido, inclusive con prensa manual o automática la mopa queda con mucha humedad por lo que hay que realizar pasadas extra de exprimido para tener una mopa relativamente húmeda pero sin escurrimiento. En general si batalle mas para exprimir que con otros materiales o tipos de mopa, por eso explico el detalle del exprimido. Tambien tuve varios eventos de deshilachado, donde los hilos se desprenden muy facilmente al atorarse con alguna cosa. Los hilos se desprenden o arrancan deshilachados sin mayor esfuerzo y ni siquiera tiene 3 usadas. El precio pagado es considerablemente superior a otras mopa de algodón tradicionales de repuesto. Yo no lo volvería a comprar.
