Bought this to connect my Solar Inverter to my Home Assistant set up. Worked perfectly out of the box. Impressed.

Purchased to allow my local Home Assistant installation to communicate with my Fox ESS inverter. Easy installation using a GitHub guide and working no issues - went with this one over wireless options as I prefer wiring devices wherever possible (leaving WiFi for devices that can only connect via WiFi).

Used this product to connect to Schneider Electric meters (Serial) and convert to MODBUS/IP. There's a sticker on the back of the device with an IP address. you have to log in and then you can set BAUD rates and re-address the IP port etc. super simple to use and easy to configure.

The URL to download software didn't work, the device is probably ok but without software can't even test it! Ended up buying a USB to serial converter until I have time to research how to make this work.

Used 2 of these to extend the 485 buss from an Avigilon V1000 Embedder controller that normally will not support V2000 ethernet 2 door controllers. I set up a point to point bridge to a building across the street. 250mb connection. Then used V100 door controller with 485 in. Once i set up the host and client then set the correct baud rate they connected. My access card swipes and open time are fast. Good product. They come with a fixed IP address of 192.168.0.6 or .7 no printed instructions. So make Shure you have internet access during you install.

Funziona perfettamente! L'ho collegato ad un sistema di accumulo solar eclipse attraverso la porta seriale RS485 e riesco facilmente a controllarlo mediante un pc di rete. Si configura molto semplicemente e fa quello che promette!

Je cherchais un convertisseur de ce type pour domotiser ma chaudière De Dietrich. Ce modèle fonctionne très bien contrairement au modèle USR-TCP232-306 que j'ai dû retourner parce qu'il ne m'envoyait des infos qu'au démarrage de ma chaudière. Il gère me Modbus TCP et le Modbus RTU over Ethernet. J'aurais bien mis 4 ou 5 étoiles car le produit fonctionne bien mais le fabriquant est par contre peu fiable. Sur la fiche descriptive du produit, sur le site officiel, il était indiqué qu'un firmware MQTT allait être disponible. Par chat, le support m'avait parlé de septembre 2019. Maintenant, l'info a disparu et ils ne répondent pas à mes mails. On voit donc le peu de sérieux de ce fabriquant...

Pro: USR has been around for long time making products like this and it shows. unit has handy size and metal housing, can be powered by own PSU (barrel jack) or external supply (wide range, 5-30V) which makes it easy to install anywhere. all terminals are pluggable. has two ports which can be used simultaneously (one is 2-wire RS485, the other is RS232). easy to configure via web browser, has own packet sender/monitor for diagnostics etc. Con: None that i can think of... EDIT: if you are interested in using virtual COM ports, you need to use VCOM software. several versions are available. they all seem to work and seem to be bilingual. version (V3.7.2) defaults to English. Versions 4.0 default to Chinese.
