I think this is a “lost in the translation” moment. In English, we say “mineral/physical” sunscreen, “chemical” sunscreen, or “hybrid.” There’s nothing wrong with chemical sunscreens – it’s just the category of filters they use. This sunscreen uses awesome chemical filters that are available in asian sunscreens (and Australian and some European sumscreens). This is NOT a mineral sunscreen: those only use titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, or iron oxides as filters.

Mineral sunscreens use only titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, or iron oxides as filters. Chemical sunscreens use all the many other great filters, like this one. Hybrid use both mineral and chemical filters. Asian sunscreens have better chemical filters than American sunscreens. This is an comfortable, effective chemical sunscreen.
