Reliability issues?
I bought this shower as an exact replacement for a previous shower because it looks great and performs brilliantly. There have been a few reviews concerning the reliability of this item, and I must say that we had some problems shortly before our old one stopped working completely. Having done a little research, there are two points that I have found that may solve reliability issues. First: if, after use, the shower head is left in a low position (such as in the shower basin or bath) for long enough for the water to drain from the hose, there is a risk that water will also drain from the shower's internal heating unit. Therefore, before returning the shower head to its normal position above the shower unit, turn the temperature control to the fully cold position then turn the shower on for a few seconds to refill the hose and the heating element. This prevents a situation during subsequent use akin to turning on a kettle that has no water inside. Second: I noticed during installation that there is a warning label on the internal unit stating that the shower would not work properly unless the supplied oulet hose and shower head were employed. This suggests that if you replace these items after a few years then you ought to buy these from Aqualisa and not use some alternatives from other retailers.

Good looking shower
Needed a new shower as existing one stopped working, I new that it would be easier to buy the same again as everything would fit which it did. This was quiet expensive and if I had one complaint it would be that this was the fourth shower I've bought from this manufacturer all the same and each of the previous ones have failed with the same sympton which is that when you switch it , it comes on momentarily then switches off , which leads me to believe there must be a weakness in the circuitry somewhere.

Easy to control and decent shower unit
I’ve bought this to replace an identical unit installed over 12 years ago. It’s leaking and rather than mess around replacing worn parts, I’ve decided to replace with another unit which is exactly the same. I need a plumber to install because the pipe and electrical works required are, in my view, best undertaken by a professional. I bought the same unit to minimise the work required; should be remove the old one, refit the new one in the same place. As a shower unit, I’m pleased with performance. It provides instant hot warm or cold shower water at a decent pressure. It’s easy to clean, the graphite Co,our gives a contemporary look and it’s cost effective. I’ve used the old shower daily, at least onc3 for over 12 years without any problems so I’m confident this replacement will offer value for money.

Perfect replacement
Bought this as a replacement for the same model that has served us well for many years, but that finally went to shower heaven a couple of weeks ago. As it was an exact replacement it was really easy to fit, old one off, new one connected. Supplied riser bar and shower head holder not quite as good quality as the old ones but still reasonable quality.

Fourth unit
This is the fourth unit of this design in 9 years. We’ve stuck to this product simply because of the plumbing. The first lasted under heavy wear for an acceptable time but the second died in 25 months and the third in 18 months. I do wonder about the shower unit being switched on in cold position that may have contributed to its short life - that’s children for you..- the fourth is under adult supervision so time will tell. Simple to use, nice flow of water at good temperatures.

So bad, I'm having the bathroom "done" just to get rid of it
Had to buy a new shower to replace the same one - first one lasted 2 years, the second one has lasted 3 years. Load of expensive rubbish. Update: 2019 - this new one lasted one year! 3 broken showers in 6 years! Update: 2021 - the 2019 one lasted until Feb 2019; I foolishly replaced it again (not wanting to have to get all the plumbing and electric re-routed); it is now the start of July, and the February one has failed! So, that's 4 failed. Since it lasted less than 4.5 months, I'm *guessing* I'll be able to refund or replace for free, but: do I really want another of these failures? Update: 2021, part 2: now October, and the unit from July has started cutting out the heat intermittently; a stop and start (so: press the power button twice) fixes it, but I have zero confidence in this shower. I don't take long showers. I'm finally defeated. I'm done. I've had enough. I'm getting the bathroom overhauled, with changing to a different brand (which will require changing the plumbing locations, tiling, etc): is a very large part of my reasons. I can't make you not buy this unit, but: you have been warned.

Worth every penny .
I had the same shower and it lasted 10 years so I just had to replace it with the same make and model ,you can get showers a lot cheaper but I consider this one to be worth every penny and it also looks good .
