Coast KL35R 600 Lumen Rechargeable LED Pocket Flashlight with RED Light

I live a bit out in the country, and it can get very dark at night, especially during winter. I've experimented with a few 1-AA and 1-AAA size flashlights, but I really like this little flashlight for daily pocket carrying. Its small size and low weight makes it unnoticeable in my pocket when I don't need it, and also easy to clip onto a baseball hat, collar, or shirt pocket for hands-free use. But despite that, it's still plenty bright enough for what I need, with options for distance or using the side light like a mini-lantern. And at this price point, it's a great value.

I absolutely love these lights! A friend bought the first one for me and I turned around and bought 4 more right after I received it. They are super light, bright for their size, and have multiple settings to fit about every need. With it having the lantern setting it just makes it that much more awesome! The clip is multifunctional, and the weight allows you to clip it to the bill of a hat without even noticing that it is there. The price is excellent so I have several of them scattered across vehicles and different places in the house and won't be overly stressed if I were to lose one. The battery life is pretty good for its size and I still can't get over the fact that they weigh basically nothing!

Amazing tech flashlight. I carry this on my person at all times as maintenance/trades professional. Also good for prepper kits/bags, hiking/camping, light, durable and charges fast. My only caveat is that this flashlight is small enough to be misplaced easily, so get multiple for a great price

This is a good flash light (works as advertised) but it could have been outstanding. Here is the Pro's and Con's ( with suggestions that would have made this a 5 star product): PROS: 1) 4 Main Light levels (low, medium, high, turbo) ranging from 16L to 600 L ("turbo"). While there are certainly brighter flashlights, for all practical purposes these brightness levels will meet 99% of everyone's needs. Nobody wants to drain their battery needlessly using a brightness level that is overkill. 2) Dedicated buttons for both Front Light and Side Light- simplifies usage. 3) Well Built- solid construction. 4) Life Time warranty- most flashlights only have 1-2 yr warranties. 5) Very Compact and Lightweight- so if use this clipped to a baseball cap or on a shirt, the flashlight will not cause undue weight on what it is clipped to. 6). Side light- has a red light option to preserve night vision and red light strobe for emergencies. 7) One of the cheapest ( if not the cheapest light) that has all the following: a side light, dedicated button for the side light, a sturdy clip and multiple light settings that exactly what is needed (not too bright or too dim) . Some flashlights have some of these features but only a surprising minority, have it all. CONS: 1) Illogical Light Sequence- when clicking the power button, the light cycles from "medium" to "high" then "low" ( as opposed to sequentially higher to lower, or lower to higher settings). 2) To access the very highest light setting ("turbo") you have to hold the button down in any of the previous light settings and then continue to hold button down. When you release button the light will revert to a previous dimmer setting. Turbo does not stay on without constant pressure on the button. 3). Like most of these types of flashlight when charging the battery, there is an indicator to confirm that a battery is indeed charging and to let you know when the charge is complete; but there is no indicator to warn you when the battery level is so low that you will need to recharge soon. 4). Charging Port Flap- Once removed, almost impossible to reinsert the rubber cover back into the slot. A common problem with lights that have minuscule flaps that require perfect alignment. 5) No magnetic base. 6) No memory feature- the flashlight does not remember the last light setting so you always have to cycle through the entire light settings ( medium to high then low) to end up on the brightness setting that you would normally use. In general, this is compact, well made, rechargeable flashight that has all the features I wanted --2 lights (main and side light), dedicated button for main light and separate button for side light, adequate number of light settings, a sturdy clip and is economically priced. However, it could have been a 5 star product if it had a magnetic base, a more logical light setting cycle, a memory feature, a way to keep the turbo charge light setting on without continually pressing the button and inclusion of an indicator light that would warn you when the battery level is so low that it will soon need a recharge.

I’ve been carrying this every day and night for a few months and am really impressed with the quality and multiple functions, including three main brightness levels, plus a 4th extremely bright level and great long lasting on the lowest level. Also has an area type light with red and white light. For the price this thing is very hard to beat and I highly recommend it. It’s going on an Italy trip as my main light I. A couple of weeks ago

Great little light, nice size, multiple clip options makes it versatile and very handy. Priced right and of course fast shipping

Great little light! Bought it for vacation and now use it for work. Very bright light. Pretty easy to use, although every now and then I accidentally turn on the side light when I want the top light. I attached a small carabiner to it, so I have the option to stick it on my keyring, strap of my bag or wherever. Very lightweight and pocket friendly. I do have trouble finding the charging port, but it really lasts a long time between charges. I think in the few months I’ve had and been using, I’ve only needed to charge maybe 3 times and then it was just to make sure it was full. It replaces the Coast inspection penlight I used for several years for work, which sadly is now very old and needed to be retired. I definitely recommend this little light for all night nurses, although maybe a bit too bright to be shining in eyes.

I bought this Coast KL35R after owning both the G19 and G20 for the past few years. Quite honestly, this little flashlight impressed me. Not only can you clip it to your cap so that you can work with both hands and not hold this in your mouth, you can also reverse clip it to anything else that may be around. The clip works both ways. The LEDs are BRIGHT! Both the white LED and the red LED function extremely well. Yes, there is a red LED, that also flashes, that can be accessed by holding down the button. You can't go wrong with Coast flashlights, and the fact that this one is rechargeable means it lives in my shirt pocket ready for quick use. Battery life is great and the durability is second to none.
